Fort Bend rounds up suspects in alleged steroid ring
Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office investigators this morning began rounding up people suspected of dealing in illegal steroids , officials said.
The effort is the culmination of a three-year operation into the illegal activity in the area, said Terriann Carlson, sheriff’s office spokeswoman.
Chronicle news partner KHOU-TV reported about 50 people were arrested and more were sought. People also were arrested in California and Georgia.
Carlson said she could not disclose details about the investigation, but that a news conference is scheduled for 3 p.m. today at the county fairgrounds in Rosenberg when officials will discuss the sting.
