Four people have been charged after raids police say have disrupted a steroids and amphetamine ring in Melbourne's southeast.
As part of an operation, police searched a car in Station Street, Carrum, allegedly finding $68,000 cash inside, about 2.30pm (AEST) on Tuesday, Victoria Police spokeswoman Marika Fengler said.
The occupants, a 28-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were arrested and a search of their home at nearby Patterson Lakes allegedly uncovered a large quantity of steroids, she said.
A second car was intercepted in Cheltenham Road, Keysborough, 15 minutes later.
Police will allege the occupants, Dandenong men aged 19 and 23, were in possession of a large quantity of steroid tablets.
Subsequent searches were carried out at two residences in Dandenong, another in Aspendale and a panel beating business in Mentone.
A loaded handgun, a pen pistol, a stun gun and amphetamines were found at the Mentone address and a 38-year-old Aspendale man was arrested.
The Patterson Lakes man has been charged with possessing a drug of dependence and proceeds of an indictable crime.
The woman was been released pending further inquiries.
The Dandenong men were both charged with possessing a drug of dependence.
The Aspendale man been charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, two counts of possessing a firearm and one count of possessing a prohibited weapon.
All four were bailed by police to appear in the Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on November 10
