PRESS CONFERENCE ON RIGHT NOW 12:24 CENTRAL/ 1:24 EASTERN
My friends dad found part of the shuttle door on his ranch.
I just heard about it. Very sad.
R.I.P.
Yeah - I read a little on it. It blew as it was decending at 12,500 mph - and I believe it said debris fell from Texas to Louisiana.
Very sad, five of the seven onboard were only on their first mission and for the other two this was their second. If I'm not mistaken this was one of Nasa's oldest shuttles. My heart goes out to all their families and friends.
how sad would it be to be one of the families that were just a few minutes from seeing their family members and then watching them explode 15 min. to landing? very, very sad.
My heart and prayers go out to those who lost their lives and to there families in morning. A very said day!
I remember her being taken out to the launch pad when she first came
out in 1981 and got to watch her land at the Kennedy Space Center, years later also remembering where I was when the Challenger and her crew of seven were lost, my prayers go to the families of the crew of the Columbia.
