    I'm perplexed as to what is going on.

    I don't know what you have in the States, but over here we have City Councils that make decisions on small town communities. I assume there was something said or announced that these basketball poles would be taken down, for whatever reason?

    Or did the police just do this unannounced?

    Haha, I wouldnt say he was going to be arrested for being on his lawn, but for threatening to prevent the police from doing what they've been instructed to do. Even still, im not sure why these basketball poles were being taken down.

    We have a lot of home owners associations here that don't allow basketball hoops. Especially the movable ones with the big base. They block sidewalks or streets. Personally I hate them and live in a community with very tight rules on purpose.

    I am sorry but IT'S A ****IN BASKETBALL HOOP....it's not the end of the world. I guess physical activity for adults as well as children is a bad thing and hoops are a HUGE eye sore. This is just laughable at best. People need a reality check. 30 years ago the bitch that complained about basketball hoops being unsightly would get a nice bitch slap. Now they get away with murder. This is like my town where they go on YOUR property at random to check to see if you have a city sticker and if you dont they ticket you. Best is I got one and went to court fight it. Cop was there. I asked how he could see it without going on my property and what led him to look for it and he said he could see it from the street that thru my back window he couldnt see a sticker. I laughed and said I didn't know you could see thru 30% window tint all the way around. Judge looked at the cop, shook his head and dropped the ticket.

    ****in cops and uptight pricks got nothing better to do.
