Sad day in US government- RIP Senator McCain

He was a rare creature: a politician with integrity. It made him unpopular among many in his own party.
"He was a frequent target of criticism from President Donald Trump..."

He was survived by his 106 yo mother. No mother should experience the loss of a child. Hopefully she finds peace knowing what a hero her son was.

    It's a sad day.
    RIP Senator John McCain

Many people didn't like him, and I disagreed with his thoughts on a few occasions, but I totally agree that his integrity and inner strength was on a level that very few others possess.
I had no idea his Mom was still alive, but my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to his family and friends.
There aren't many good role models left in society today, but IMHO, he was one of them.
Undoubtedly, one of.the toughest individuals on a mental and physical level that we had in the political arena.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

A sad but true statement... I hope we're wrong, and that there are role models out there waiting to be found... But the 30 second click-bait media cycle... Sigh.

    RIP Senator.

    C-

PS: We could start the role model trend. Let's informally agree to all go out and help someone out today.
