Google Has Been Purging Breitbart Content from Search Results Since the 2016 Election

G**gle is the largest manipulator of information and censor that has ever existed. As of this past April they controlled 86.02% of all the search engine traffic on earth.

Election Interference: Google Purges Breitbart from Search Results

A few days after the 2016 election, at an internal meeting later leaked to Breitbart News, top Google executives, including Sundar Pichai, Sergey Brin, and Kent Walker, lamented President Trump’s victory, comparing Trump voters to “extremists” and discussing their desire to make Trump’s election and the populist movement a “blip” in history.

True to their word, four years later, Google is deliberately working to interfere with the reelection of Trump in 2020.

There are several ways in which Google is interfering in the 2020 election, but this article will focus primarily on one of them: political search bias.

Google Has Been Purging Breitbart Content from Search Results Since the 2016 Election

Search visibility is a key industry measure of how findable a publisher’s content is in Google search. New data shows that Google has suppressed Breitbart’s search visibility by 99.7 percent since 2016.... (emphasis added)

Matt Gaetz: Google Using ‘Market Dominance’ in Search to Engage in ‘Election Interference’

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday on big tech and antitrust that Google is using its “market dominance” in search to engage in “election interference,” such as censoring Breitbart News and other conservative outlets.

Gaetz asked Google CEO Sundar Pichai about the company’s alleged manipulation of its search algorithm to censor conservative voices. After questioning Pichai, the Google CEO admitted that the search giant allows for manual manipulation of its search algorithm.

Gaetz cited Breitbart News’s Allum Bokhari, who wrote on Tuesday that Google purged Breitbart News from its search results and that Google had diminished Breitbart News search visibility by 99.7 percent.

Gaetz said that conservatives outlets such as The Daily Caller, Breitbart News, and the Western Journal appear to have been particularly targeted, and subsequently lost search visibility on Google. He charged that this manipulation of its search engine amounts to “election interference.”

    Gaetz charged: ...

Stifling Free Speech: Sidney Powell says big tech companies could face criminal statutes because of their attempts to influence the 2020 election.

The meat of it is a video interview with Sidney Powell hosted by Twatter and I can't figure how to link to Twatter videos here.

Sidney Powell says Big Tech companies could face criminal statutes

If they don't there was no point having the statutes to begin with.

    Daily Caller Experienced Google Suppression

Daily Caller editor-in-chief Geoffrey Ingersoll has said that the conservative news website has experienced Google search suppression similar to that reported by Breitbart News yesterday. Based on Google’s defense that it manually blacklists “violent extremism,” Ingersoll pointed out: “We are not ISIS.”

“Specifically we struggled with search slowly dwindling until May 4 exactly. We broke down the analytics. The May 4 flat line is clearly the result of the human hand in the process,” said Ingersoll in a series of tweets...

...The Daily Caller editor revealed that like Breitbart News, the Gateway Pundit, and other conservative websites, Google searches for the headlines of original articles frequently failed to return results from the site.

“There were even instances in which we broke national news, and would not show up in the first page of search results for that particular topic,” said Ingersoll. “In fact not in the second, third, fourth or fifth. Meanwhile, outlets that aggregated or syndicated our work did.”

With silencing of speech, is America entering Orwellian territory?

Conservative thought may be the first casualty, but not likely the last

...Bari Weiss, a former opinion page editor of The New York Times, is a case in point. She sent shock waves across the ideological spectrum when she issued a blistering indictment of the Times’ oppressive newsroom in her resignation letter.

    Weiss hit the newspaper hard.

“Stories are chosen and told in a way to satisfy the narrowest of audiences, rather than to allow a curious public to read about the world and then draw their own conclusions.”

Her advice for up-and-coming writers and editors?

Rule One: Speak your mind at your own peril. Rule Two: Never risk commissioning a story that goes against the narrative. Rule Three: Never believe an editor or publisher who urges you to go against the grain. Eventually, the publisher will cave to the mob, the editor will get fired or reassigned, and you’ll be hung out to dry.”...

...Public opinion shows that cancel culture is having its intended effect and not just on conservatives. The latest July 16-18 survey by Winning the Issues shows that the concern and potential fear of consequences for not complying with certain narratives is not limited to conservatives, and may be much more broad-based than assumed.

A majority of the electorate (52 percent) identified with the statement that “true free speech and freedom of belief do not exist in this country today because of political correctness and potential consequences such as losing a job for not conforming to beliefs and narratives being promoted by the media, academia and elites.” Only 34 percent agreed that “free speech and freedom of belief exist in this country” and felt free to speak their minds and express their personal beliefs in the workplace and social settings.

Across party and ideology, the only ones who felt free to express their beliefs at work or in social situations were, not surprisingly, liberal Democrats, by a 51 percent to 38 percent margin

In a 2019 Freedom Forum Institute survey on the First Amendment, almost half the respondents (46 percent) said they were willing to shut down a speaker at a public institution if the appearance would be “likely to offend.” Anyone who values liberty should be concerned that so many Americans are willing to let others restrict their right to free speech and assembly. When one side can effectively stifle the views of the other, that’s not democracy. It’s tyranny. And who gets to decide which thoughts are allowed and which are not? A student mob, the faculty Senate, the university president? ...

When a conservative student stays silent in a liberal professor’s classroom rather than risk a grade, we lose ground. When a Chuck Todd announces that those who disagree with his views on climate are no longer welcome on “Meet the Press,” we lose ground. When an opinion piece costs an editor his job for believing that airing opposing views is not only right but necessary to honest political debate, we are entering dangerous territory, the kind Mill and Orwell warned us about.

To refuse a hearing to an opinion, because they are sure that it is false, is to assume that their certainty is the same thing as absolute certainty. All silencing of discussion is an assumption of infallibility.” — John Stuart Mill

What’s to stop the far-left social-media giants from rigging the election with free-speech bans?

Liberty is on the ropes, recent events have shown that the left will use any means to win.

by D Parker July 29, 2020 in Deep State, Democrats, Election 2020, Leftism, News Media, Opinions, Politics, Tech

Yesterday was one of those watershed moments of history that set out in stark relief why we and the cause of liberty are in such dire straits. You try to remain optimistic in these times. However, one of the dangers of knowing too much about the past is that it’s too easy to see how events will accelerate.

We’re seeing blatant censorship at the macro and micro levels, with a news conference of America’s Frontline Doctors being suppressed while we were suspended from Twitter like many others. Censorship is akin to the victor in war writing the history books. The people who impose this on others get to tell the reason why – without rebuttal. This means they can simply lie about why someone’s free-speech was suppressed, and there is no one around to challenge the lie, hence the extreme danger.

In the case of the news conference, ostensibly this was because of false information. But because there is no longer a two-way conversation, the falsity of the data is in the eye of those oppressing free speech. In the case of the twitter suspension, this could easily because of winning an argument – at least temporarily – with the left.

The news this morning brings word of further acceleration in the destruction of liberty. It’s been reported that the chairwoman of Arizona’s Republican Party has had her Twitter account “temporarily limited” one week ahead of state primary. This on top of all the accelerating censorship elsewhere.

Does everyone understand that events are accelerating?

It’s becoming less and less shocking to witness these events. Therein lies the danger. We have grown accustomed to the suppression of liberty by those who only pretend to be liberal [flaming or otherwise].

A lot of this began in the aftermath of the Parkland mass murder tragedy with the censorship of the right of self-defense. In other cases, prominent YouTube celebrities were ‘de-platformed’. It was shocking only to those paying attention.

Now that far-left has been able to do this with little in the way of repercussions, they’ve been pushing the envelope, becoming a little bit bolder with each step. History has taught us that tyranny only accelerates, it’s only going to get worse from now on, much worse.

What’s to stop the nation’s far-left social media giants from banning free speech to rig the election?

So, we’re back to the question of the year: What’s to stop the nation’s socialist left from simply banning the President and everyone else from social media at a critical time to rig the election for the left?

Dr. Robert Epstein already has detailed the danger to the Republic in shifting millions of votes to the left. But recent events have shown that is only the tip of the iceberg. That kind of malfeasance doesn’t even take into account what would happen if whole swaths of the voices of the pro-liberty right were suddenly silenced.

Depending on circumstances, this could either be perpetrated as a ‘happy accident’ – for the left – or it could be an unapologetic and outright suppression of free speech. The ‘sudden outage’ could hit every conservative outfit in the country, excused as a ‘software glitch’.

Timed correctly when a good percentage of the country is making their voting decisions, it could easily change the history of the nation and the world. An outage at the right time, with an ‘inadvertent delay’ in finding and fixing the problem, could easily swing the results and rig the election.

This could especially be the case if everything else the nation’s socialist left has done has failed to have the desired effect and they become desperate.

“To do evil a human being must first of all believe that what he’s doing is good” Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

The sad fact is that as of now, nothing is stopping the nation’s socialist left from taking this step. They convinced themselves that they are ‘doing good’ and that they need to seize power ‘by any means necessary’ – with a group of far-left radicals taking that name for themselves. This means that they will do this unless we do something about it – now.

Google Translate Lists ‘Police Officer’ as the Primary Definition of ‘Demon’

Google Translate, the tech giant’s translation app, listed “a police officer” as the primary definition of “demon.” The secondary definition of demon, according to the Masters of the Universe in Silicon Valley, is “an evil spirit or devil.” The web giant removed the definitions altogether after Breitbart News requested comment on the company’s strange definition.

Users on reddit’s /r/Conspiracy subreddit were the first to recently notice that when the term “demon” was typed into Google’s Translate system, the first definition that the site returns is “a police officer.” Although the Internet giant removed the definitions after a Breitbart News request for comment, a screenshot of the definition can be seen below:...

How Google’s Monopoly Power Took Over Mobile Search Traffic – Even on Apple iPhones

...A small minority of web users use competitors like Bing, Yahoo!, and DuckDuckGo, but this is negligible — in 2020, Google processed a whopping 91 percent of all internet searches.

This is in no small part due to Google’s anti-competitive practices in the smartphone market. In addition to its own Android phones, where every service is switched to Google by default, the search engine has also wormed its way into Apple iPhones.

Thanks to its vast revenues, Google is able to pay Apple billions of dollars (it was $1.5 billion last year alone) to be the default search engine on Safari, Apple’s web browser that serves as the default option for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users.

This gives Google a breathtaking level of market dominance on search in the smartphone market.

While there used to be many smartphone operating systems, including Blackberry OS and even a version of Windows for phones, in recent years the market has become concentrated in the hands of just two companies: Apple and Google. And when the latter pays the former to do its bidding, it arguably dwindles to just one in some regards....

    Hey Beetle,

Yesterday, I switched to Edge Chromium, did one search and switched back in the morning.
    -
Google is a real threat. Kill, capture and assimilate new tech suppresses competition and, giving in to the argument from the elites that even though we haven't got raises in decades, it essentially suppresses quality of life.
    -
Google turns down projects from the department of defense yet works with the chinese military and government.
    -
And, they hire really nice people to give me a hard time on my customer service issues. Among other sins.
    -
I'm with you on Google's inherent threat to our country.

Suppressing Breitbart News Is Part of Google’s Electioneering for Democrats

... Google is “wielding such a massive ability to show people information or not show people information,” Johnson stated.

Pichai’s denial of Google’s political shaping of its services is “laughable,” Johnson determined.

Johnson warned, “It should concern all of us [that Google is] completely being partisan and supporting Democrats, and it’s scary.”
