Solar eclipse coming up....

I like to see through binoculars how it all looks. The only thing that bothers me is that the solar blackout would not be frequent because I have panels on top of the house for electricity and without the sun they would be weak. I had a choice of polycrystalline vs monocrystalline and couldn't decide which one was best until I started reading about their differences and similarities.
