Some years back I had the same issues with sleep, I got some self-hypnosis tapes from Peter Siegel and they made a huge difference. It was about shutting down the mind and relaxing. Good Luck!

Alot of stress in our daily lives can make it difficult to sleep. Sometimes I go to bed with alot on my mind. Maybe those self hypnosis tapes can help. Melatonin works for me or tylenol pm.

i don't know if you take naps, but i find taking naps messes up my sleep schedule. try to get a routine of what time you are going to go to bed every night and what time you are going to wake up every morning. see if that helps. i wish you the best as i know it sucks when you don't get enough sleep.

Not sure what problem you have with meds if they are going to help you. Ambien works wonders. If you have a headache do you not take medicines? Maybe you don't but unless this is based on some sort or religious belief I say, if someone went to the trouble to invent them and they can solve a short term problem, why should you withhold it from yourself?

Lunesta works better than Abmbien as you don't build a tolerance up to it.

Not to change the subject from the initial thread, but why is it better? I use Ambien CR and it wors soooo well except sometimes that second layer has a habit of kicking in a bit late, so I wake up feeling great and an hour later when the layer kicks in I just wanna go back to bed!

When I asked my doctor about Lunesta he said it was all the same and then asked me which one I wanted. Cause the Ambien works so well I decided nmot to switch. Tell me why u think its better and you might have made a new customer for the Lunesta people.

I'm an insomniac...I use a 6mg melatonin to aid in me falling asleep. it's also a natural chemical that is produced in the body and yours might be low. start out with a 3mg pill at first.
