New Member Looking for First Cycle Advice

    Hello,

    I'm 42 years old.

I'm a new member here but have a full history of athletics, training and nutritional knowledge.

I initially came here with the intent to do preliminary research for my very first cycle of HRT based on compelling new(er) information regarding it's benefits. After encountering much difficulty getting any help from my Doctor (HMO) and unexpected difficulty finding a source, I've decided to try a legal non-hormone alternative in the interim. Today I started an 8 week cycle week of ALRI's 'Jungle Warfare' in conjunction with the outlined prerequisites gathered from many sources involving training, diet and liver support. I've read positive cycle logs online regarding JW with a few minor and acceptable side affects. If I'm not satisfied (and maybe even if I am) with the results of the JW cycle as they apply to my training goals, I may continue to pursue the test-based cycle I originally intended. I've completed the necessary prerequisite testing through my Doctor with very positive results (I dont have any 'deficiencies' that qualify me for HRT according to him) so he was evasive and unwilling to provide anything further in regard to HRT. I'd like to add that I really enjoyed this article: HRT Info (Part 1)

    My goals:

Overcome some minor yet long standing genetic plateaus (primarily proportionately small biceps and overall chest fullness)
    Faster progress-size/strength gains
    Faster/better recovery
Stave off negative effects of aging/decreased natural hormone production associated with aging, specifically 40+

    my questions and concerns:

    - Based on my goals and age, what would be an ideal first cycle? Currently I'm considering the basic test/d-bol/nolv cycle. What would be the estimated cost for a cycle including PCT?

    - Should I attempt to find a Doctor/specialist in HRT? If so, does anyone have recommendations? Ideally in Seattle, WA.

    - Are there legal alternatives including Jungle Warfare that are at all comparable in effect to steroids ? If so, what?

I apologize for any redundancy in my query based on previous posts by others on this topic or in other threads. I've scanned and absorbed alot here but would really appreciate some personalized advice.

    Thanks in advance

    'Merc'

first suggestion is to get blood work done and see where your test levels are. i do not know anything about prohormones. HRT is normally 200 mg a week, but it all depends on your test level. a hrt doc is a good idea if u can find one in your area.

A good first cycle is test only, 500mg week with pins twice a week. I would never do first cycle on more than test only, it is easy to add things next cycle.
PCT should be done and nolva is a good choice.
Realize that a cycle will suppress your own test production and it is more difficult to get it back to normal the older you are. That is the reason u see a lot of older guys doing hrt between cycles.
You are going about it the right way, learn as much as u can. Good Luck

    1. Jungle Warfare is not considered a Pro Hormone - http://alrindustries.com/jungle_warfare.php
    2. I've had the following tests done with no deficiencies

Complete blood count and chemistry profile (including liver-kidney function, glucose, minerals, lipids, thyroid (TSH) etc.)
    Free and Total Testosterone
    Estradiol (estrogen)
    Progesterone
    DHEA
    PSA
    Luteinizing hormone (LH)
    Homocysteine

So, my question is since I don't qualify as 'deficient' for HRT according to my Doctor, what are the options at my disposal if I want to buff up? Are there other options before self-administering and taking my chances on the black market with my money and my health? I live in the US btw.

    I appreciate your help, thanks.

Find a "men's sports clinic" in your area, a general practitioner will not be able to help you.. Or a life extension clinic, or a doc practice that treats a lot of aids patients..
