    Intentionally dropping your test levels

I'm 41 and up for a blood test Friday to see if my 'test is low enough' to qualify me to participate in a study:

viagra and testosterone vs. viagra and placebo

I don't have 'andropause ' as my PCP told me my 'hormones are normal' like 6 months ago but as you probably know that doesn't mean that they are not completely out of whack and very low for my age and very low for my optimal health. I didn't ask him for any numbers.

So in anticipation of the blood test Friday I have been consuming alcohol at night. I've drank a 5th of JD in the past week, taking 1 night off. I think I drank about 4-5 shots worth a night aproximately but just swigged out of the bottle so not sure but I did consume a 5th in the past week.

Is that ammount of alcohol consumtion enough to knock down my test levels? (my goal is to qualify for the study obviously), I have a 50-50 shot of being put on test for 6 months in addition to getting 3 viagra per week plus cash. My sole motivation is the opportunity to get on test though.

I have one night left (tomorrow night) prior to the Friday am blood test. Is drinking 4-5 shots enough to reduce test levels or does it take like 10 drinks or something?

I don't have the willpower to starve myself for 24 hours and really can't handle the short term side effects of significantly reducing my sleep the night before the blood test so it seems all I am left with is consuming alcohol.

I might be able to shorten my sleep from 7 hours to like 4 but don't want to do that unless it will really have an effecdt on my test levels. Any more than that is not an option for me.

So how am I looking thus far? Will the 4 or so shots per night for the past week lower my test? Will another 4-5 shots tomorrow night be enough or do I really have to go for it and drink 8+ drinks or something?

    Feedback really apprecated. Thanks.

hard core alcohol will definitively lower ur test levels, just try to get kind of buzzed every night and that oughta do it.

pain killers will even lower test levels even further than alcohol. ive heard some people even complain about having trouble to get it up.

I would have demanded or asked for the blood work info., it's your right to see them and you could go from there........but it looks like you're on another course.

Thanks for the responses shredded and stallion. I've got a blood test tomorrow that is solely to see if my test is 'low enough' to qualify me to be a subject in a drug study. It has nothing to do with my regular doc or regular medical care, just a study I happened to see advertized and decided to go for it.

I might ask to see my prior hormone blood results (don't even know what tests my PCP ran) and I will also likely at some point get comprehensive bloodwork at a lab with all of the tests recommended by the anti-aging TRT crowd. I know my PCP is not gonna put me on test unless I have anropause levels, which evidently I didn't since my tests were 'normal'.

If I get in the study I've got a 50% chance at getting free TRT for 6 months, plus cash, plus regular physicals, blood labs, lots of viagra. If I get the placebo I will prob run an anavar cycle like I had planned anyway.

I"m not ready for TRT for the rest of my life, I'm 41, not a spring chicken, but would rather work with diet, nutrtition, weight loss, and cutting/lean bulking cycles for the next several years before I try to push for TRT. I know of a clinic in NH that will hook me up but it's a little out of my price range considering I can get and analyze my blood work myself (with help) and also get test, albeit cycle it rather than just stay on.

When I'm 50+ I will be looking at TRT and push for test cyp, or prop if they will sript it. Right now I want to avoid the regular price of doctors visits since I can eval myself with help.

Wish me luck for my blood test tomorrow. I did a 1/2 pint of JD and 2 shots of absolute. I"m also gonna do some minor sleep deprovation but am too old to really push that.

Good luck.........I didn't realize it was a study.
You right about the TRT at 50.........wise move with moving forward with dieting etc. to get yourself ready.
I'm 48 and am on TRT, NO regrets here except I wish I would have held off a few more years.

Becareful with the Oxandrolone, it can shut you down as well.

Well I had the blood draw today. They took 4 regular size vials and 2 mini vials (to freeze as part of their study for potential future use).

Unfortunately in order to qualify for the study my test level has to be below 300 and my free test has to be below 50 as well. If my test comes back between 300 and 350 or my free test comes back between 50 and 65 I will have the option to have another blood draw to see if my levels will be below 300 and below 50 that second time, in which case I will qualify. I expect to hear in about a week.

I hadn't realized that the study would have such a high bar as a cut off point. Oh well, I'll find out what my levels are in any event (albeit after a week of getting drunk every night lol). Maybe I will come in low enough to take a re-test in which case I can push the envelope more with alcohol consumption and take other steps to really drop my numbers. They asked a couple of times if I take any pain medicine so I'm thinking they don't screen for it in blood work....

If you need to take a retest , drink a shit load of coffee during the day time and stick with the booze at night, through in some late nights and your GTG.
