Over 40 and making some good progress

Just wanted to check in here as I"m 41. Last year I was 295lbs and my cholesterol was 268.

Right now I'm 220lbs (6'2" broad shoulders but not really muscular- yet!) and my cholesterol is 136!

My plan is to get down to 210lbs., develop my abs and obliques more (been workin on it) then lean bulk.

A year ago or so I thought it was hopeless for me and thought I would be fat for the rest of my life... I figured I was sooo out of shape I would never be able to change my condition.

Well if you think like that, STOP IT! It was exactly my thinking, my telling myself that I coudn't change that was preventing me from changing! When I started focusing on short term goals like eating x less bad food for x meals/week or substituting x for y food, things like that i started to make rapid progress.

Now I'm looking forward to being a lean and muscular guy with a 6 pack to envy at the age of 41 and having a body like that for the first time in my life!

Thank you sterold.com for all your help and support!

This coming summer when I go to the beach my shirt will definitely be OFF and I will also have my back waxed! I think my wife is going to be jealous at chicks staring at me because even though I'm over 40 I look young for my age.

In actuality I think this is a manifestation of my mid life crisis, getting in good shape....better than buying a corvette I can't afford and drivin my fat ass around in it with the fantasy that hot young chicks are gonna get with me lol
