    Renal Function & Supps

Has anyone(+40) had a problem with a elevated creatinine/BUN/anion gap extremely low(i.e.3) while on supplements? Wondering if my fluid intake is 2 low prior to workout.
    More specific-NOexplode or endurx4?

Heavy weight training and or endurance training can increase some of these said values.

Trying to figure out how that would work IF it was endurance.
What's throwing me off ALSO is the low anion gap...just fukn me up here.
    This is making no sense.
So just continue to workout w/ the elavated levels? Stop using the supps? Increase h2o intake...SHIIITTT!!!

Still running test. He says to stay away from the supps. but shiiitt you know how that is.
My thinking is that if this can occur w/ endurance training + I'm not hydrating well enough= increase in creatine/BUN etc...just my thoughts.

Hi bro, has your doctor tested your blood for a increse in Creatinine?

Creatinine is a chemical waste molecule that is generated from muscle metabolism. Creatinine is produced from creatine, a molecule of major importance for energy production in muscles. Approximately 2% of the body's creatine is converted to creatinine every day. Creatinine is transported through the bloodstream to the kidneys. The kidneys filter out most of the creatinine and dispose of it in the urine.

As the kidneys become impaired for any reason, the creatinine level in the blood will rise due to poor clearance by the kidneys. Abnormally high levels of creatinine thus warn of possible malfunction or failure of the kidneys. It is for this reason that standard blood tests routinely check the amount of creatinine in the blood. A more precise measure of the kidney function can be estimated by calculating how much creatinine is cleared from the body by the kidneys and it is referred to creatinine clearance.

I took alot of creatine in my time and my figures were sky high, thought i'd share that with you bro, let me know how you get on.

How is your diet? Are you eating fruits and veggies daily? The reason I'm asking is because fruits and veggies provide bicarbonates which is used to neutralize acids from protein degradation. If you don't take in enough of bicarbonates and water, this can increase the stress load of the kidneys, thus increasing BUN, creatinine levels, etc.

What kind of supplements are you taking? Any BCAA supplements, creatine supplements, protein supplements, arginine, etc can potentially raise kidney values just due to the extra filtration. Now that I think about it, NO-Xplode does have some arginine, and NO precursors, as well as some caffeine. The combination of these may increase the work load of the kidneys. Oh, and how much water are you drinking daily?
