    starting up again

    Hi guys;;
    after a 10 yr break in the use of as.i,m now looking to re educate myself on the use of as.

    I,m now 44 yrs old,train my whole body once a week on a day on day of cycle.

    Since hitting the gym in feb 09 this year i,ve managed to drop from 16 st 8 lbs to 15st 4 lbs.my lightest weight for 12 yrs.

    My problem is the same as most guys my age;;my belly still as a large amount of fat and although i,ve lost weight i,m still tired and got no enthusiasm,.

    I,m also looking a bit gaunt in the facial area(skeleton features.
    At week ends i occasionaly ride off road motorcycles so i,m pretty fit.
    I,d like advice on available gear that would perk me up.give me some hardened shape but not pump my body too much when riding off road,the enduros i do are 3 hrs long.
    Also no roid rage .s please.

    i was in the exact position as yourself ,i trained for 15 years from 15 till 30 then packed up for 10 years after a serious knee injury .When i hurt my knee i was 290lbs and pretty lean. 10 years later i was 270lbs and very very fat. What i did was cardio and diet for 15 months and got myself down to 200 and very fit and very lean and felt great.Then i started with the weights seriously. The main thing that helped with how i felt was my diet. Get this right then all else falls into place.I trained for 5 years till i was 45 before i jumped back into aas.My main concern was whether i would keep it up so wanted to make sure that i was going to stick at it. All the info you need is somewhere on this site. People here will help if you also help yourself. Any emails you get now offering you gear will be probably from scammers so beware before you part with your money!! Members will not give you a source of where to get gear,thats not allowed here.Great that you are back training, its one of the best things i did.Cant wait till im 50 as i am going to try to compete again!!

    Keep reading and posting and all will come to you

    Best Wishes

    Every day you train whilst on a good diet and a healthy lifestyle is a day nearer your goal. Take a little time to study the threads in the diet forum as us seniors have to be double sure our diets are good to see good gains. A good mix of cardio and sensible weights avoiding injury is the key, leaving your ego behind as ego normally leads to injury especially at our age!!.write down some basic stats eg bodyweight,chest, waist, thigh, upper arm measurements as these come in handy as motivation on those weeker days we all get from time to time.Best of luck

    As a kid I was extremely skinny, I am 41 and I am fat, I started my cycle, third week. I haven't noticed any changes, I am thinking it is what I eat and the workouts I am doing. I can do an hour of cardio and burn 1400 calories in the ARC TRAINER, but weights I can't finish. I am wondering doing resistance is a good start, any help, or better anyone out there in NYC? Thanks.

    If you are fat then diet is king!!!.Post your diet truthfully in the diet section along with your stats ,age ,weight, training history and what you are cycling and believe you me they will help you massively.Dont be suprised if they tell you to stop the gear and lose the pounds first as steroids are not the answer. I lost about 60-70lbs at age 40 in about a year with just cardio and diet before i got back into weights. I hear all this "i have a slow metabolism" crap from loads of people.Its just an excuse.Change what you put in your mouth and put less in your mouth and your body will change!!You have made the first step which is great.There are lots of people here over 40 that were in your position and fully understand and will help ..Best of luck
