First Cycle Newbie and over 40 - Uggghhh!

Ok, ive been lurking for awhile.. I'm 41, about 13/14% BF, 6'1",180 lbs, as you can see from my pics, lean and its extremely hard for me to bulk and build muscle, so I'm going off my trainers advice and going to start my first cycle next week with Winni and Test Anthe... Cardio 6 days - 20 mins on heavy days, 30 mins on light.. I alternate muscle areas, weight/reps etc etc.. I currently take Creatine after each workout that's it. I wake at 5am, workout from 6-7am, creatine at 7:15, protein shake (30g Protein, banana, non-fat yougurt, flax seed, and tsp of natural PB and skim milk). Then at 9am I have an ostrich slim jim snack, 11:30/noon I have a turkey sandwich on wheat or some sort of meat with vegatable, then 2 pm a protein bar, 5pm dinner which consists of salmon, tuna, turkey or a wheat pasta and vegatble, then at 8pm another protein smoothie/shake. Im starting with 250mgs of Test E everyweek, and then 50mgs of Winny everyday for 6 weeks.

    Ideas/Suggestions??

I'd like to be very cut, but larger.. My avatar is my ideal to look like (physique that is)!

My suggestion is to hold off on cycle. Go to the diet forum and read the stickies. Your diet is not good at all. Watch the vids under "so you want to learn how to diet". Diet is the key whether you are on cycle or off cycle. Go to the workout forum and post your workout. After you read the stickies and watch the vids put together a meal plan to reach your goals and post it to include your stats and goals.

I know my caloric intake and meals are not up to par yet. That's what I am currently doing, not what I will do while on cycle. I'll post my new diet when my trainer gives it to me next week.. I have to increase calories considerably I know.

j4ever is right. this is a lesson most people seem to never get. the truth is you can accomplish your gaol without doing a cycle. At our age it is harder but it can be done. the beauty of doing a cycle it help accomplish our goal in weeks instead of months. Provided we the correct diet in place when do a cycle. if not you are just throwing away good gear.

if you dont mind it would be interesting to see the diet your trainer is going to put you on,if you dont mind post it up. But you have to be dedicated to your diet bro, before during and after cycle,it is best to build and maintain a good base before you start running aas. From looking at your pic you can for sure make good progress without any aas at this point just got to get your meal plan down to meet your goals.

to get like your avatar you dont need to cycle. To look like him I would have to loose about 8 in on my arms. He is SMALL

you want to learn to diet. You dont do a cycle and then diet. Thats like saying you want to learn to fly a plane and take lessons once you are up in the air.

You need to learn to eat/diet/exersize first, months or better a year+ then consider a cycle if you want to gain some size.

People dont cycle to get cut/lean, that is all diet.

Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that look. It actually looks pretty good depending on what you are shooting for.

We all have different goals and preferences. My avatar is pretty close to where I want to be at my max. I figure I have at least 2 years to go if not more but I think even at my age it's reachable still.

Im not trying to shoot your down only letting you know if that is your goal there are much better and simpler ways to get there.

OK It seems you and I have the same goal. I used to be a fighter (boxing and mma)
When I would get too big it was not good for me, it slowed me down. It took me years to figure out what worked for me. what would work for other people didn't accomplish my goals. You on the other hand probably have a hard time putting on weight.
I have a tendency to to gain weight really easy. I have to watch my diet every day. one week off from my diet and I gain weight.. That being said; also it seems almost every time I run a cycle my muscles seem to grow too big.
What I had to learn was it is my diet along with the right AAS that controlled how large my muscles grew.
If you want my advice after you have been in the gym hitting it hard for about 9 months (some will say longer and most of the time I agree)
do a cycle of test prop with nothing added. it should do exactly what want provided you have the diet exactly right.
there are diets aimed at loosing fat and diets aimed at gaining weight there are diets aimed at gaining muscles only and so on and so on....
The diet is about 90% of the game here. so start studying.
