Finally 40!
Well, I have been gone for awhile, work has been kicking my ass. I finally hit forty and today I went to the doc about getting a referral to a Endo. The doc said let me test your Hormone levels and a few other things, so they drew blood and will find out next week. I beleive either way I will still get my referall, just hope things work in my favor.
ANy who, I am part of the 40+ group, WOOHOO!

Hormonal Assays Group: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
The Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) blood test is an indirect measure of thyroid gland function. The TSH is a chemical, secreted by the brain, which modulates the thyroid gland’s production of thyroid hormone. The TSH tests for hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Normal levels of TSH are between 0.45 and 4.5.

Hormonal Assays Group: Testosterone
Testosterone is a hormone (androgen) made by the testes in males. Its production is stimulated and controlled by another hormone (Luteinizing Hormone), which is made in the pituitary gland. In males, testosterone causes enlargement of the penis, growth of body hair and muscle, and a deepening voice. It is present in large amounts in males during puberty and in adult males to regulate the sex drive and maintain muscle mass. Testosterone is also produced by the adrenal glands in both males and females and, in small amounts, by the ovaries in females. In women, testosterone is converted to estradiol, the main sex hormone in females.
