While doing one cycle is unlikely, its a lot harder (physiogically) to gain 5 lbs of muscle mass than it is to keep it. When you are talking about someone at their genetic potential the likelyhood of dropping the cycle gain is greater than someone who is older and although healthy and eating fairly well and working out pretty good is not commited enought to reach their true potential, for someone like this if they gain 7lbs of muscle and drop 5% bf during a cycle and use proper PCT afterward to keep from rebounding then the likelihood of keeping some of the gains are a lot better than the guy who is at true genetic potential. When you factor in the psychological motivation of seeing the change over a 6-8 week cycle then the likelihood of keeping a good percentage of the change do to increases in commitment to diet and excersize you will see an even bigger gain.
I know for me seeing the changes during my cycle has been a great motivator and I have (so far) continued gains (loss of body fat) and maintained strength and even though I am 10 days past my last shot I sure don't have any long term evidence I feel my motivation has really changed after seeing that their is hope for more than just slight health improvement (to an significant change in appearance) of course to answer the second question, I also am planning another cycle starting in December assuming lab work comes back good.
