    50 and Cruising

First off let me ask HOW DOES ONE GO ABOUT GETTING STEADY BLOODWORK DONE??? Private Labs does not service my state and will not even accept my credit card billing address to get work done in a neighboring state. I live in a Commie State not by choice. The wife is having surgery and the doc uses a hospital 1/4 mile across state lines which saves thousands for her as it is cosmetic. Crazy!

I am 50. Finished a first 12 week cycle of Test E with standard AI, HCG , and Nov and Clo for PCT. While on cycle I felt great, young, strong, not a lot of pain (from prior injuries), lifting increases, etc.. Once on PCT and off I'd say I lost about 50% gains, possible more. Can still lift close to the same, but feel tired, washed up, struggling, etc.. Feel my age basically. I realize it is my body revamping the Natty Test, etc..

I realize blood work is everything, but it is difficult to come by. Got it checked by a Urologist and all he said was "you're good". I didn't feel comfortable talking to him about cycling, etc... so got NO numbers out of him. Hell, not even sure if he did the test.

My question is for an older guy 50+ is "Blasting/Cruising" more practicable then cycling with regular bloods? I would never cruise as a younger man, but I have more then a handful of kids, had a vasectomy, etc.. so I am doing everything I can NOT to have anymore kids. I also realize it is more then about kids.

I feel like I am taking 2 steps forward one back on cycle, maybe 2 steps back. At this age it is harder to maintain either naturally or off cycle and I think "Blasting/Cruising" sounds like a winner. Any thoughts from the older crowd? Say 150-200mg Test E weekly cruising followed by 10 week blast of 500mg. AI, HCG.

Seems all I can find online is why NOT to cruise for young men, but not a lot for older guys.

Any clue what your BW off cycle normally looks like? Probably be prudent to wait 2 or even 3 months post pct, get full BW as in the Finding A Doc Sticky in the HRT Forum and assess if you are a candidate for TRT. Odds are you probably are.

Check and see if discounted labs .com will work for you.

Thanks Kel, funny you mention Discount Labs. I just saw them in one of your other posts and they are open on Saturday. They specifically say they do not service my state but maybe they will accept my credit card over the phone and I can use a neighboring state.
Also, I do need to make a trip to NYC to the LowT Sponsor, but with a 4 hr drive, house full of kids, etc.. you know how that goes. Need to do it.
    Thanks again for your advice.

I wonder if a pre-paid gift card would help in getting around the "state" requirement?

Called DirectLabs today as I couldnt find a DiscountedLabs. The girl asked if I had a State ID from the neighboring state and I said no and they said I couldnt get any service. So, going to try and call an Endo and see if they will just give me some bloods directly.

Kel, I appreciate and value all your advice. You have brought a lot of knowledge and wisdom to this board. I also really understand the importance of bloodwork and the necessity of it. It is just a nightmare to try and get. Well, for me anyhow. Like I said, calling an Endo tomorrow to see what I can come up with. As you say, a pain in the arse for sure. Thanks again for your help.

My doctor literally just pulls specific panels whenever I want, I don't know about where you live or your Doc. It's covered by my insurance I guess, since its just a 20$ co-pay when I leave. Last time I just requested 5 things and he said Ok and did it.

However it is a family plan so maybe my parents foot the bill and I don't even know about it. I know how much they pay for the actual insurance and that aint cheap but its not an exotic plan by any means either.

Yes, he knows what I do.

I call and say I want blood work and he does it treats it like a simple physical exam appointment but I'm far from 50. lol

    Kel, Kel

Finally was able to find a nurse practitioner that was fairly on the ball. Problem is she called with the results and said "I have never seen a person who had such perfect blood". I did 500mg Test E/C week for 12 weeks, A-Dex, HCG , and a 3 week low dose Clo and Nov. Low dose and 3 weeks because I thought I was getting it from Canada and it ended up being from India. Never trusted their stuff. Fricking rat poison.
I actually decided to cruise on Test C 200mg/wk and took one shot 7 days before the bloods, I assume the Test levels are higher then they normally would be. If I knew I was getting blood work I'd waited obviously. Again, I am 50 and open to cruising.
    Anyhow, here is some numbers.

    PSA - 0.4 Range 0.0-4.0
    LH - 4.5 Range 1.7-8.6
    Test % Free - 1.54 Range 1.50-4.20
    Test Serum - 744 Range 348-1197
    Test Free - 11.46 Range 5.00-21.00
    Protein Total - 6.2 Range 6.0-8.5
    Bilirubin Total - 0.4 Range 0.0-1.2
    Bilirubin Direct - 0.11 Range 0.00-0.40
    AST - 38 Range 0-40
    ALT - 39 Range 0-44
    WBC - 5.1 Range 3.4-10.8
    RBC - 5.37 Range 4.14-5.80
    Hemoglobin 16.5 Range 12.6-17.7

I am not sure what "E2" would fall under or if it was tested? Eos? This was a Labcorp Male Hormone Panel I thought.

The rest all falls within center mass of ranges.

I will cruise until my next cycle which will be 500 Test / 30MG Dbol . Anything stand out Kel?

Just trolling along. Your post is interesting. Have you tried the private labs on the WEB? There many of them. I live in Michigan, no problems. Blasting and cruising. 12 week cycles, AI's, HCG's, Nov and Clo for PCT. Hmm? I did used Novadex once, but since I never come off, I don't need any of the other stuff either.
500mg. for B&C. Short story. I went to the VAMC for TRT. Test was 183ngdl. A lousy 500mg. a month for 5 years! I felt like I didn't take an injection and all I got was a little kick. I got sick of the BS and amped it up to 1, 500mg a month. A random blood test busted me and they suspected steroids and kicked me off the TRT program. I've been on 1,500mg. of Test E ever since and I don't plan to come off while there are plenty of places where I can go shopping. BTW, I'm 60.
