Cool 50+ and need a lot advice for a new cycle after a long break - relatively newbie

    Hi all,

I am totally new in this forum. I will try to keep to the rules but if a mistake is made please forgive me.

I come from Cyprus and lived in Germany for the most of my life. I had been a national swimming champion in my youth. After the career was over when I was 20 I neglected training in every sense. I have a tendency to gain weight pretty easily. So my weight was up and down all the time. I went on a diet when I was 27 and got slim. It lasted some 10 years and then I put on weight again. This has been going on the past 15 years. From 27y onwards I hit the gym regularly to keep my weight in balance and also my physique. I never became a bodybuilder as such cause somewhere on the way I had been loosing focus, wasn't informed well, thought I was doing everything right and also I believe my genes are not made for this entirely (is that stupid?).

Anyhow 6 years ago I came on this site and got my inspiration to do my first cycle. I tried some of the novice cycles stated here but not in full...e.g. I took only Test E and then did a PCT. Later I stuck on Test Prop and that was it. I realized though that it is not enough. As I don't have much knowledge of this I got lost in reading and reading and at some point I don't know anymore what I should take.

My test levels suck all in all. If I train regularly they are fine but If I don't they hit rock bottom. Along come long phases of depression and anxiety. The time I used to take steroids even at a beginner's level 2x a year, I managed to beat depressions and kept anxieties under control. Generally speaking I had a great positive experience from the steroids although as I mentioned i didn't take them sufficiently or correctly. Now I am 50 and of course from what I understand the approach to steroids is different than when I would have been 20 or 30. Moreover with my low Test levels it is more of a prerogative for me to start taking them again and for a longer period of time.

In training terms I would describe me as intermediate to advanced. My stats are : 176cm, 86Kg well developed BUT from I what measured I must have around 18-20% body fat which is a lot and mainly around the belly area.

I would like to get your advice as to what combination of steroids I should be taking to start a new cycle and for how long. My goal is to reduce fat at possible 10% (I would have said 6% but I would laugh myself on that) and increase muscle mass (isn't that what everybody wants :-))

If your are so kind to give me your knowledge and expertise and use abbreviations please explain them to me cause I don't understand all of them.

I would be very grateful for your feedback.

Honestly if your T is low step one would be a solid TRT protocol under a doctors care. Do you happen to have blood work you can post up? Redacting personal info obviously. Simply optimizing T levels via HRT can give you amazing results.

Thanks for the reply. TRT? HRT? Please explain..

I got it described but when it's up again the doctor is obliged to stop the description. This is how it works over here. So a prescription is not a solution long term. Don't have a copy of blood values. Last time test level was slightly lower than the acceptable margin

I will. As I already written my test levels vary depending whether I train or not. Any suggestions on what I can take for a new cycle considering my goals?

Well, I still strongly recommend a further review of your labs and then TRT if warranted. Other than that, Take a look at the top of the AAS Q & A Forum for the "Successful First Cycle" thread and follow it to the letter if you choose that route.

Thank you again. I will have the last 3 labs sent to me and I will post them to get your opinion. I read what you have suggested and it was very enlightening. I still have some questions though but I will post them later on. Just woke up
