Looking for advice, under doctor's care but...

Hi I am new to the forum, reading a lot of posts trying to learn all the acronyms.....

5-7 and 330 lbs, literally 120 lbs overweight. Bodyfat percentage obviously way out of control.

No energy. I can diet and lose weight but it comes back. I worked out for 2 months 4 or 5 days each week but felt no better.

Got my test back says level is 81. 18 months ago it was 89, I started TRT under a doctor's care but didn't follow through. Too tired maybe, lol.

So I'm back and better equipped to move forward and stay committed. I know I will need to work out regularly, I know I will have to eat clean.

I have a few questions.

I just started at 200mg test/cyp every 3 weeks. That seems very low. Should I start feeling something soon? I haven't felt any benefits, it's only been 5 days tho. I need the energy to start working out, not the other way around. I have no energy to start or follow through. Am I being naive? Can I get some energy flowing to assist in working out? Is it a chicken/egg thing?

If I'm supposed to be at 500 or 600 and I'm at 81, is it as simple as addition or as I would think there's too many variables to say 600 - 81 = 519 so I should maintain that level to feel better. I see my doctor but he wants to retest after 3 months, push it up if necessary, retest after 3 months, etc. I really need to get moving.

Do I need to worry about estrogen levels due to my weight? My doctor didn't mention it. Honestly I'm considering heading to a Low T clinic. I just don't want to wait another year to feel better.

I have asked for all the results from my last bloodwork so that I can track it all myself.

I am not the expert here on TRT, KelKel is the man. I am on TRT and have been for almost 15 years when it was not common at all for it to be treated.

Also, go to the diet and nutrition area. A ton of people can help you get going. There are a lot of guys on here that started out just like you, we are here to help.

200 mg every 3 weeks does not sound like good medical protocol. Here is a chart to show you why. Attachment 171114

Just so you understand how doctors work. They tend to be a specialist or a generalist. I am sure your PCP is a great doctor but simply does not have the time to do his research on TRT, how it works and was not trained on it in medical school. TRT is not really a "new thing" but it really is a new thing for a lot of doctors. I just wanted to add this based on the parts I bolded. You need to learn your TDEE. Here is a good online calculator to help you. https://tdeecalculator.net/ Put in your information and then read this thread and learn why those "diets" do not work and you gain it back. http://forums.steroid.com/diet-nutri...1-cutting.html Just simple easy steps can build confidence and start you on your way to a different life. Again, you do not have to master this just read it and get the general idea of how by cutting 500 calories per day off what you eat can and will make a difference.

If you need any help please just ask. Not everyone here is a bodybuilder, gym rat, trainer but the guys that are here have a wealth of knowledge to share with you. If it help you to keep a log on what you ate or your training, this is the place to do it.

200mg of test c every third week is not going to work . if you have low T and go from that to very inconsistent levels of T, highs and lows, then your still going to fill shitty. the doc is just being too conservative and testing the waters. you need optimal health, not a band aide . you need 200mg of test per week. get in touch with a TRT clinic that understands these things and wants you to become optimal and not just prescribe bandaides that temporarily stop the bleeding but still keep you coming back as a customer (I,e your doc)

Checked out the TDEE site. Sorry if I posted in the wrong place, I am 50 and really am looking for guys in my age range that have similar experiences. I will look more into the TRT forum.

Fully appreciate your explanation of how specialized doctors can be, I agree completely, that's why the low T center is on my list of things to look into.

I am only here because I met a guy that has access to known quality test cyp which is what I've been prescribed only from what I've read it simply isn't nearly enough. Now that I'm here I see that this forum has a lot more information to offer than I'd have thought.
