you need pct for every cycle but var only you can just do a little nolva for a few weeks
shut down, maybe not. it depends on the dose and duration. pct is always good especially if you're using a dose that will yield results
yes you do need a pct after anavar, 20 mg of nolvadex for 3 weeks would do the trick.
i am think of a dose of 50mgs ed for 6 weeks.
so what sort of dose of nolva and for how long after the var?
It all depends on how much you run(whatever compound).....I've ran Nolvadex for 2 weeks at 20 10 and felt fine for var only cycle.

by the way a var only cycle is not the best choice of cycles, have you started yet?

the trick with a var cycle is what r your expectations..
best case scenario... you will weigh the same as you do right now, only difference is your body composition will change.
Var will make it so you can workout more often, recovery is very fast, and strength will be good.
guess what.. it's still about the food you put in your mouth..
here's a little trick.. no matter what or when you eat, the food, or snack must contain some protein.. if you eat just some fruit preworkout, make sure you take a protein shake or some other form of protein..

lifting on and off for 4 years/ always been in to sports (soccer, mountin biking) exersize regular. but never been lean aways abit soft.

reasonable pct/estrogen knowledge
goals lose excess weight and get lean/harder
anavar can help with weightloss but really its best for hardening muscles and strength
if your bodyfat is unknown im just going to assume its not in the right area to cycle
first of all i think you should focus on your diet, maybe clen- based on your bf%, diet, and goals you posted
