Is PCT needed whenever you are shut down?

There was a time when I was prescribed massive amounts of pain killers. 8x dilaudid a day... I was totally shut down for about 3 months. At the time, I didn't consider that being shut down might have lasting effects on my body. After reading about having a PCT after using AAS, it got me thinking about my previous and possible future opiate use. Is being shut down by opiates the same as being shut down from AAS? Is a "PCT" beneficial after being shut down regardless of the substance?
I have noticed a lack of energy and drive that was present before my injury...
    Thoughts/opinions/advise?

Almost sounds like you are wanting to run a PCT, even thouh you haven't used steroids , simply because you are worried about a "shutdown" that may have occured while you were on painkillers.

This is a terrible idea. Someone call me an idiot if I'm wrong, but painkillers do not increase your estrogen levels. Moreoever, the shutdown was not due to an increase in testosterone and negative feedback loop.

Do not fix your car's transmission by giving it an oil change bro.

I don't want to run a PCT! Believe me! I just don't know if the same principle applies to being shut down from AAS and being shut down from opiates.
I would think the lack of sex drive, erections, energy etc... could be related to a decrease in natural test? But, I don't know at all! Hence my question.
This may seem to be a stupid question to some of you, but I truly want to know!
