    very stupid question

hey guys , i know this will sound stupid , butaa humm..

why is nolva used WITH clomid during pct ?

does it really make such a difference in recovery with nolva and clomid instead of say clomid alone ??

They both act similarilly, but differently. Its a very good question and some doctors I have spoken to advise that only one is actually needed.

Clomid has been shown to downregulate the pituitary to GnRH, whilst Tamoxifen doesnt do this. There both SERMs but agonists in some tissues and antagonists in others, they also have higher binding affinity's in selected tissues.

Tamoxifen seems to be more active in breast tissue than Clomid, but Clomid seems to raise endogenous T more, suggesting its more active in the hypothalamus than Tamoxifen.

In my experience, using 2 SERMs is more than sufficient. Toremifene with low dsoe Clomid is my PCT.

Yep I agree .. good post .. Also like you said they both work a little different .. Nolva works at the pituitary and the hypothalamus.. Clomid does have a very strong effect at the hypothalamus , but has a weaker effect at the pituitary .. So i think its good to use both ...

    Yup^^^

I haven't run tore yet, but it seems an excellent choice.

I think the affinity of clomid and nolva on the HPTA is a curious one.

I run both, and never had a problem.

    Best
