HCG As PCT Side Effects

I've been on var (10-20 mg per day) for about four years. I usually do three months on and about two months off. The day I stop the Var I take 1000 IU'S of HCG every other day for five doses. Is 8 days on HCG long enough to contribute to hair loss, enlarged prostrate, estrogen conversion and the other side effects it can cause? I've noticed some hair loss in the last few years, but it could be because I'm becoming an old man.

I read here that HCG is not good for a pct for what I'm doing so I will try clomid instead.

what you're doing makes no sense! is this prescribed by your doc, or doing it on your own, and why?

HCG is suppressive so it shouldn't be used during PCT in my opinion and also based off everything I have read.

I dont understand your rationale for doing what you are doing. Can you elaborate more on what you are trying to acheive?

And HCG isnt great for PCT, its suppressive as mentioned above.

Thanks for the replies. From the response it appears I made the right decision to stop taking HCG as a post cycle. The var has been the perfect steroid for me. I've gained a good 15-20 pounds of muscle since taking it and never had to go over 20mg a day. I didn't know much about pct and read mixed opinions on if I needed it with a var only cycle. Two friends that have been on test for many years (bodybuilder, former pro wrestler) both told me to take either HCG, clomid or novadex so I don't lose my gains from the var. They both told me to take test, but knew I could not because of the hair loss. I tried nova and spent all day in the restroom. They both told me HCG is best for getting test levels up to normal.

My goal is to keep the size I have now naturally, but not sure if that will work. I would like to have everything done by a doctor, but know it's about $1000 a month and that is not in the budget right now. This last cycle I took a very low dose of var (5-10mg daily) and went off without any pct. It seemed to work fine. I really appreciate all the feedback. Any help is appreciated.

Running hcg during pct is counterproductive as it will suppress lh function. Running hcg during your cycle is much better as you will maintain testicular function while your lh production is suppressed. The goal of pct is to get endogenous testosterone production functioning as fart as possible and the tried and proven way is by using climd and nolvadex for pct.

You attribute var as the reason for you gaining 15-20lbs of muscle? Despite the fact that it took 4 years to do?

Hi back in black. The 15-20 pounds of muscles was mostly from the first cycle. If I remember correctly it was 14 pounds more from my normal weight the first cycle of var only. Second one and additional five came on. I do fluctuate some when I'm off of it and because I get injuries and have a hard time keeping up with a good diet. Overall I have been very happy with the var. I cannot believe how well it works and wish I took it years ago.

you gained 15-20 lbs of muscle? Or did you just gain 15-20 lbs during the cycle? Trust me if you keep running var only cycles you will not be happy down the road

Girls can gain that much muscle in that much time without AAS.

I think you think var is the reason for your gains rather than consistency in the gym and with your diet.
