    Mentzer

Studying his work in detail right now, just thought I'd throw up a few pics, I'd say one of the most knowledgable and most successful BB'ers in the business.

What year was it when there was such controversy about Mentzer and Arnold in the Olympia? I remember seing some pics that look like Mentzer should have won one year.

Amazing pics. I think I saw one of him training with Dorian Yates (not lifting, but advising, perhaps). Yates has made several comments on Mentzer's incredible intensity as well, which is pretty respectable coming from a Mr. O.

What, you mean like a 900 number consultation? J/K... Cool, perhaps you'd consider passing on any useful info. You can bet that it would be much appreciated!

He should have won Mr O in 1980. It was all politics. Arnold won cause he was a Weider company man.

I just ordered 3 of hi sbooks. I remember what got me into hi theories first was an article in ironman magazine, I treid the routine for 1 month and I loved it. I think it would be best to rotate on his routine then some lighter more frequent training for another month or so, on and off like that.

Ok the much discussed 1980 Mr. Olympia. Lets remember Mike finished 5th! Yes 5th. So others like Chris Dickerson who finished 2nd, I believe, suffered even worse than Mike did.

Mentzer's fixation and anger over YEARS was a classic case of not letting something go.

Happily he got over it and later often stated that he believed Arnold was the greatest of all time. Arnold contacted him via telephone and Mike went so far as to say he wanted to include in one of his videos a scene of him and The Oak shaking hands.

Perhaps not coincidentally as Mike moved away from his bitterness his life started getting better.
