Kevin Levrone is claiming he can run a 4.13 40!
In the new MD flex states that he has the fastest forty tie on the planet, Believe it or not!

JJ,
It wasn't Flex it was Kevin Levrone who stated that in MD.
And I seriously doubt he can run a 4.13 40.

um ya, sorry but I call bullshit, there's not alot of guys in the NFL or CFL that can run a 4.13 40, let alone a what, 250-270lb pro bodybuilder that most likely does no speed training whatsoever, JMO though.....

Hell if he did, why isn't he playing in the NFL? With that kind of speed he would be the biggest wide receiver or running back in the league...

I know personnaly two guys that ran 4.2
both former teamate, one was a WR that was drafted in the NFL and the other one was a TB. Both were provinvial track and field champ, 100m sprinters, etc..
and the biggest the tail back was 235 at 7% bf after a Winny, test prop cycle
on a 6'1 frame
If wheeler runs the 40yard tell me
Ill bring my calendar to timeLast edited by 3Vandoo; 09-04-2002 at 10:50 AM.

Alright, it is written in the new issue of Flex magazine that levrone did run a sub 4.2 forty. There is a place in maryland where he was timed by a coach at a local high school. Now I am one to think not. but in the issue they are talking about going on national television and challenging world class sprinters to a race. I personally would have to be there holding the stopwatch before I would believe any of it, but I figured that Mr. O is coming soon and they need to get his name out there.

hmmm lads those mags are the kind of toilet paper that tell you that X products will put 40lbs of muscles in 6 weeks
Levrone should concentrate on his gym and band instead of running

I think if you threw him off a 40 yard high ledge he might hit the ground in 4.13 but that whould be the only way.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bigrace.htm he ran 60 meters in 6.64 or a little more if im right because from canada we use meters but isnt a meter and a yard the same lenght so if he can do 60 yards in 6.65 sec its pretty possible he can do 4.13 in 40yrds, hes also a freak

actually bros, dwain chambers was the one that ran the 6.64, not levrone he got smoked. Wherever the 4.13 came from I dont know. So that should clear that up.

I dont know about a 4.13 40yd. deion sanders only ran a 4.29 and he is pretty fast. Also I know there was a rummor that Lavernuous Coles ran a 4.19 40yd. But later at the combine he ran a 4.31. Both these guys are very slim guys I couldnt imagine a 240 pounder running a 40 in anyhting less then 6 secs.

40 times vary so much it's impossible to judge someone speed totally off of it. There is a lot more to football then size and speed. No way he can run that though. Why even make such a bulls*it claim? He'll join the nfl the same time Brock Lesnar does...jmo

There are different ways of meauring the 40...believe or not...some of the times are recordered from a running start. So he could be full speed...cross the starting line and finish with a 4.13. I highly doubt the guy can run that speed from a stand still.
Why is this in the pics section anyway?
Why am I replying to a 2 year old thread?

Flex works at a local gym in my area in California, now training people.
He does not run the 40 at all, let alone in that time.

This is old news by the way
but... y'all guys really thinking or just flaming? Franco Columbo sprinted.. I was reading an old BB chronicle and Big Lou entered a race at 270 pounds at had a respectable placing... Saw a clip from the Levrone/Chambers 'race' and Levrone was quick (he went up against the world record holder for pete's sake). The promotion was to show that bodybuilders can do more than lift weights. And it proved a point.
Stop flaming on the pros.Because a guy has a ton of muscle the general consensus seems to be that he has zero flexibility and the operational speed of a snail. *sigh*
Still there are pros that can do partial/full splits in their posing routines( nee the current Mr. O)
From year to year, top level sprinters are coming with more and more muscle... and being faster and faster (e.g. the Maurice Greenes and Ato Boldens... It started with the great Ben Johnson who was strong and big like a bodybuilder os his era)
So why is it hard to believe that a Pro can sprint?
