I have to agree 100%... my traps have grown more in the past 3 years deadlifting than ever before... I used to do all kinds of shrugs with some success... well I haven't done a shrug since I started competing in powerlifting 3 years ago... and I have had more people ask me how I got my traps so big than ever before... deadlift heavy and your traps should grow... one must always consider the principle of individual differences so what works for me may not work as well for you... but deadlifting will benifit your overall strength and physique.Originally Posted by Savage1

I agree. Nothing builds traps better than the DL.
clean pulls
are those the same as a high pulls (where you perform a clean movement but don't actually take it to a front squat position)?
I love to do clean pulls from blocks, saves you from wearing out back. all you do is pullthe weight with clean technique and don't pull with arms, but with traps to accelerate the weight, great trap workout. you will definitly feel them the next day.Originally Posted by John Stamos' Nephew
