    2700 total?

What is the largest in competition and non full meet totals. I figure Rychlak has done 1005 squat, 1005 bench and 715 deadlift separately (2725 total). Is this the largest total? I am sure doing this in a single meet is out of the question, so what is the largest total in competition? I have seen 2600's in the WPO. If anyone knows, what is Mendelson's biggest total?

on a side note, mendelson never did a 3 lift in recent times. he claims to have a 1000 squat. well if that is the case show us the money!!! talk is cheap.

also here is a post from mendelson, i will set up the scenario and you can all form your own oppinions. monster muscle made a deal with mendelson that if he gave them his raw press routine, they would give him the cover. at the last minute, mendy said he didn't want to give away his routine for free. the mag, still but him on the cover. now readers asked what happened to the routine that was promised. the owners explaine what happened ,and here was scotts reaction
HOW DARE YOU MAKE FALSE ACCUSATIONS OF ME !!!THERE WAS NEVER AN AGREEMENT.YOUHAVE QUESTIONS,I HAVE MY LAWYER ON HAND.THIS IS CALLED SLANDER AND JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A PUBLIC MAGAZINE,THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO MAKE FALSE CLAIMS AGAINST ME JUST TO SAVE YOUR ASS.IF YOU GUYS MADE THE PROMISE TO YOUR READERS AND WE NEVER SPOKE ABOUT IT OR AGREED TO IT,DONT TRY TO SAVE FACE BY MAKING ME LOOK BAD.RUNNING YOUR MAGAZINE DOES NOT MEAN LYING. I HAVE PUT ALOT OF HARD WORK ON MY TRAINING TECHNIQUES.THIS IS MY BUSINESS AND HOW I MAKE MONEY.UNLIKE MOST MAGAZINES,YOU DONT PAY ANYBODY FOR ANYTHING.THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE MONEY FROM THE PEOPLE WHO BUY YOUR MAGAZINES.MY ROUTINES ARE NOT FREE NOR HAVE THEY EVER BEEN!!YOU MAKE MONEY FROM MY PICTURES AND OTHER POWERLIFTERS IN YOUR MAGAZINE.HOW DARE YOU SLANDER SOMEONE WHO MAKES MONEY FOR YOU.THIS IS BAD FOR YOUR BUSINESS.NOBODY WANTS TO READ LIES.HOW MANY OTHER THINGS HAVE YOU GUYS LIED ABOUT?CLEAR THIS UP IMMEDIATELY OR I WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION.

I am not sure what to make of that, but I think Mendelson is a great champion. My idea of a great powerlifting champion is one that will beat you with a shirt, and challenge people without shirts, the way Mendelson did up in New England. But I hate talk and if he did a three lift meet, I'd like to see it. I think there is some pressure on Mendelson from Gene Rychlak, because Gene did register a 1005 squat in the past year. I think specializing in one lift is interesting, but its not a sport in my eyes. Imagine taking one part of football away from the rest, or basketball even. Powerlifting is a three lift sport and I'd love to see all of these specialists go at it. One thing I notice is that few people who exclusively do bench or squat like Gene or Miller want anything to do with the deadlift. Is that because the DL can only be assisted by suits to a degree whereas bench shirts and squat suits can move a load for the lifter?

alot of SHW gents just are bimoechanicaly not suited for the lift. short arms= great press, but a shitty deadlift. millers best dead is 600lb and some change, gene's is actually not that bad mid 700's. anthony clark had a 700 dead. i think you are right, they don't get much from equipment with the dead so no one focuses on it. hell westside barely ever trains the deadlift!!! glad guy like bolton, and benedict magnuson(think thats his name0 are pushing the limits on the big lift.
