Powerlifting is a sport with lifting your 1 rep max in three lifts for a total.
Squat, bench, deadlift. Then add up your total and the highest total wins. Now if you dont compete but train for power it is to increase strength first and foremost. In the big three lifts. Or in bench only. Or just one of the others. But the goal is strength.
Now thats what im talkin about.
