I was just wondering what kind of a shirt you have. I am wanting to get one, never have had one. How did you measure for it and what size did you actually buy. Lifts look great...

Thanks alot for checking inn. I have a Karins denim open back .She makes the best shirts period! You will get a ton of support and they are vedry comfortable .My raw max is only 275 on bench so I get alot of good support out of my shirt .Here is a link .Hope it helps .Let me know if you have any more questions ..Anthony

So it looks as though you, at the current time, could get about 70-100lbs out of the shirt if you competed today. It is single ply correct? I use the the Rage X and it is giving me around 100 with a closed back. I am sure the comfort level is where youy say, as I have heard many a testimony in regard to her designs. But how is a single denim with an open back or even a double denim with an open back that gives 70-100 lbs better than the standard Rage X? Is it that the shirt could give you more pounds but your lock out is not adequate? The fact that you could touch the bar at under 315, concerns me with the stopping power/spring power of the shirt. I'd like to here more about your experience with it.

I have found it is way easer to work a denim for support than the rage X closed back .If I want to touch light weight in my denim I have no problem moving my shirt around and making some minor adjustments to get light weight to touch .If I need more support out of the shirt I can get it easy .I guess an example would be I can get 265 to touch in my shirt and with minor adjustments I can just work the support up to just above 500 .I lift in my shirt all the time so Its really not hard to get more support out of your shirt when you need it .I struggle more with my groove when things get real heavy than geting more support from my shirt .Anthony

See, this is a very interesting topic to me. The objectively better shirts would not only be the ones with the mad-crazy stopping power on the bottom but also have some facet that resulted in aiding the lock out. I am not sure that I see how a shirt that can touch at lower weights can assist at lock out. DOes any one else see my point here? Like a spring, the shirt stores energy on the way down on the lift. The acceleration is proportional to the stiffness at the bottom. My Rage X becomes very difficult to lower the bar when about 2-3 inches off my chest when I have 405 on the bar or less. With 330 I can get it to touch, but essentially I am pulling the bar to my chest a bit.

You can read my little rant on the thread entitles "Got my boss suit, got some Q's". But the long and the short of it, like the squat suit and trying to deadlift in it, is that if it moves more easily at the bottom (can touch with little weight on the bar), it assists less at the top. I am not sure what adjustments you make when bench, so maybe you could better explain that part to me.

Bro being that you have a close back rage X your not going to be able to adjust the support as you would with what I have (Karins open back denim ) Thats why I bought my denim so I could work the shirt better ..What ever shirt you have its still you locking weight out not the shirt .Anthony

Actually the designs of the shirts produced now have greater resistance against the triceps from the starting position. This adds to the lockout. What I was saying about buffering the human strength curve works like this: If a person has a lockout of 500 pounds and can press 385 in a RAW competition, the shirts now fit so tightly on the tris that the equipped competition bench of this person is about 525-535.

This is exactly what is happening with people like Beau Moore and Mike Miller. They have Raw squats in the 700's but are able to equip squat 1100-1200 lbs. There lockouts are certainly being assisted by the suits.
