    Best Powerlifting Shoes?

    Hi guys,
Really need your help in choosing best workout shoes for my bf. What's better Inzer or Otomix? Any other good ones? He's wearing regular fitness shoes now, but they don't live too long after his squats and etc... Want to find the best for him
    Thanks!

He went through bunch of shoes from cheapest walmart ones to nike/adidas and etc. ones. As I understood, the problem is when he's doing squat or deadlift with 400-500 pounds, the backs would compress all the way and make him very unbalanced.
Really want to find good prof shoes for him this year Thank you for your help!

ok, i totaly understand this problem. now is he a wide stance squater or a close stance squater? if he is a wider to medium stance squater, the answer is simple, old school chuck taylor converse sneakers. the shoes are flat(perfect for wide squats)and they do not compress as well they are light on your feet and super cheap!!the other shoes on the market for wide stance squaters are NOT worth the money, they are a scam trust me, they are no better than the chuck's. many professional/elite powerlifters use the chuck's
if he is narrow stance, the chucks are no good, my friend is a narow/closer stance squater and just got a pair of these new sneakers he raves about, i am working on getting the name of the shoe and a web site for you as well

Thanks Doc I'm not sure what kind of squatter he is, I'd say medium. Should I look for high-cut or low-cut ones? How important is ancle support?

high cut for the chucks.they wont give very much ankle support, but it isnt needed. the shoes are so flat you dont have to worry about them "rolling". the addidas are actualy low tops. if he is a medium squater, the preference is up to him, he can go either way with either shoe. does he compete in powerlfitng? if so what organization? (this may help me figure out what works best) do you know if he trains for powerlifting only or does he lift to just stay in shape? the heals of the addidas are slightly elevated,, so they arent flat, they are angled.

He doesn't compete yet, but planning to he's more in advanced level than just working out for good shape.

Can't find those addidas ones but I guess I should go for flat ones, his previous even slightly elevated heels compessed all the way down

Have you ever tried Inzer? he mentioned about those couple times

inzer=not worth the money! i dont like inzer products.i had a similar pair of "powerlifting shoes" that i spent a boat load of money for, and later found out that the $30 chuck taylors worked better than my $130 special weighlifting shoe!LOL
the heals on the adidas wont compress, not with this material, i will get the web site for you, give me a day or so. ask you boyfriend this, when he does compete, what organization he may chose? also ask him if he considers himself a close or wide squater .

if he isnt sure, buy him pair of chucks, like i said if he doesnt like them, it isnt a big loss, only $30(keep the receipt, let him try them for a workout, if he hates them, take them back) and than you can get the better shoes at a later date, this approach is better than just going out and blowing $13o onshoes that really arent worth that much.
i will get the web site for you just in case. i hope i helped you out

as you can see , these shoes have a heal. ask him what he would prefer, completely flat, or elevated
