Grip training
I've always been relatively strong and am considering getting into more the traditional powerlifting and then seeing how I progress for possible meets.
Is there a rule on how much to work the grip? I've been working on my grip a lot more in the last 3 months with tylergrips on the available sets and extra grip work like farmer's walks, etc.
My goal is to get as strong/explosive as humanly possible and I know I need a ton of grip strength to achieve that...thanks guys...

I'd say that most of us don't ever do specific grip work, at least until and unless we get to the point where we lose DL attempts because the grip fails. IMO, whatever pulling work you do should be sufficient for most people - save the energy for more deadlifting, power cleans, or whatever is the meat of the pulling part of your program.
If you do start dropping deads, remember that grip is very specific. Strong squeeze on grippers, for example, doesn't translate very well into holding a bar. So, hold the bar - overweight lockouts and holds for time, pull from a platform so the bar is in your hands longer, etc. You should also use a double overhand grip on all your pulling for as long as you can before you reverse one. Never use straps (unless your grip is VERY weak). Etc.

Yep, never straps. I started lifting with straps, and have had to play catch up for quite some time.
