What on average do most most 20-24yo I think Novice I?? Between 190-200lbs lift at the comps you go to?? I have a friend that is competeing here locally in march, so im sure its a smaller comp than you go to but he is 20 weighs 186 right now and does 330 no shirts or anything like that? I think he will do alright but not win or anything

I dont really do sanctioned comps. my friend puts on bench meets once a year , he rents out a nighclub and it is a big meet w/ weight classes only no levels of competitors. it is pretty cool b/c the music is blasting and people come in off the street and pay 5 bucks to watch a bunch of freaks lift. they are all in aww LOL bunch of club hopping pill poppin losers standing there like WTF! but i have seen a guy come in at 165 and push 405 no shirt just naturally strong and then a guy w/. the same stats push only 315 w/ a shirt. so i cant really answer that to specifically. I dont deadlift well or squat heavy for that matter just always intrested in benching so i nevr went to any formal meets just this freak show once a year.. there was a girl last year that weghes 120ish and benched 225raw!!!! i was way impressed. what do you bench raw right now bro?

Shit me? My presses suck im 189-193 pushing like 265 my best was at 175-180 pushing like 275-280 but I use to lift for numbers on my bench, now Im lifting to grow my chest so I dont actually bench barbells that often, maybe when I get some serious size, I'll try to get up there but its about aestetics not power for me, but respect is still there for anyone wether, bbing, strongman, powerlifting. Its just what you want to do with it. and how you train. You really should look into sanctioned comps Your numbers are impressive, maybe get some plastic trophies to help motivate you and hell braggings cool to do, if you back it up.

cool... a couple of my partners just orderd theirs recently.. seems to be a decent product for a good price! i know my boyz at Orlando Barbell swear by them. i may just have to order one. as of right know my best bench has come from an inzer double denim, but i think it could blow anytime now. i need to get geared up for my next meet... now you have me rethinking my original game plan.

a little side note... my crew ordered our monolift from her about a year ago and love it!!!

trust me dont get a karin, stick with the ply, i just tried to go back to denmi(a karin) and i relaized how little you get at lockout from denim, the shirt to get is the titan a/s double ply katana open back, with a few othe modifications made to it. i know you are using the f6, wait until you try out the nxg super plus material! best by far, iwas getting as much out of a single ply katan as a double denim karin!

you should hit up a sanctoned meet, you will do well, give it a shot, u will meet new people who may be able to help you or give you ideas to push your press to 700lbs! better competitors push you to become better time and time again.

WOW! I dont know much other than what my guys at the gym tell me, they fitted me in all my shirts really. I have only used 2x denim this one and inzer. I have thought about doing real meets but w/ my business and family i have a lot on my plate plus I have a sciatic nerve thing going on now that needs resting. wow I cant imagine getting that lift over 700lbs!!

it is possible, i couldnt imagine alot of things i have done in this sport, but they happened, all it took was the extra effort, check out some double ply poly shirts, you may find you get more out of a poly. i used to only use denim, i switched over to poly and i am geting alot more out of the shirt.

denim, about 80, poly closer to 120-150lbs, it works different for everyone, so dont go by what i say, but i am coming cloe to a 55o press and i raw press about 405. i find that the poly gives my lockout alot more

ohhhhh! that is exactly where I am losing the extra weight too, if I dont lockout smoothly on the way up I almost get pushes back down if you can get what Im saying, it feels like if i dont get the lockout right away it seems the shirt works against me at that part

questions are you doing board presses? are you doing them correctly(corrrect way is the way the metal militia benchers do them, check out there web site to see, you pretty much much let the weight DROP as quick as possible on the board as soon as it hits throw it back up.) it took me a long time to get it, watch the videos on their sit if you arent sure.also, you wnt to keep your grip with the pinkys on the rings on the bar. this will help with lockouts, also rack lockouts, same grip as boards

i just bougth a krin used it for a few wks, i noticed my numbers were not improving and my lockout sucked with weight i was previously having an easy time with, so i switched back to the poly and it was like magic! i was able to lockout everything easy. it is differetn fo everyone, and it depends on what poly shirt, but i real think poly is the way of the future( i am saying this and i have been one of the biggest denim supporters for a long time) poly has come along way since the early 90's, the material is alot stronger and durable than ever before, i truly think the poly shirt has technologicaly passed the denim shirt in comparison. i never thought there would be a day those words would come out of my mouth, but it is the truth.

can you suggest a good board press workout? the guy I train bench w/ has very short arms so he nails them but he does more of a light workout with them. his ORM on flat raw is about 495 but works out w/ the boards with around 275 and does sets of 2. He is older and swears this is the workout to use????

I like the fact that board presses allow me to go heavier... so I use that to my advantage. It's really about strengthening the triceps and improving your lock out. The only way to truly improve those two things is to train heavier and heavier. Some people claim to benefit from light weight speed work, and I believe it does work for some, just not for me. Luckily bar speed has never been an issue for me so I use speed work very sparingly. If your bar speed is naturally solid I would concentrate on heavy lifting and especially heavy board pressing. I typically warm up and hit 3-5 work sets for heavy triples on 3 boards. You will find many variations, however most of my work throughout the year is done raw.

with the boards, i just work 3 sets of five after shirted presses, but i make sure i let the bar SLAM into the board(boards shouldnt be done like a regular press,) and than i thorw the weight up and back to loclout, the movmentis learning how to throw the weight to lockout. touch the bar where you would normaly touch with a shirt, and always do your board presses raw,not equiped, equiped pressing with boards just reinforces bad habbits and teaches
    you how not to touch.
any other questions, i would ask the guys at fortified iron.com, the site is down right now, but will be back soon. one of my training partners is a known 800lb plus presser, he is the one who taught me what i know about boards, and i had to re -learn how todo them, themost important thing is making sure you are using the correct board, you have to find out where your weakness is, mine is the 3 boards, my partner is at the 6 board, everyone is different

It's a heavy lift when you have to have 3 spotters with 2 back up's.
