    Knee Wraps?

I have never used knee wraps but was thinking that perhaps I should be using a pair. I rarely squat more than 375 and my knees are not really giving me any problems, however, I want to be safe.

Can anyone tell me or at least reference a site/article that explains when knee wraps should be used, how to wrap knees and even recommend a specific wrap or brand for me? Thanks in advance.

Unless you are having problems with your knees, I see no reason to run knee wraps unless you are going super heavy (90%+ of 1RM). If you were to every go for 405, a pr of knee wraps would help you feel more stable and prevent any knee probs. While there are many types of knee wraps out there here are my top two I have and use. Metal "Black" knee wraps- i use these in meets only and they hurt like hell due to the slight rubber content, but they are the tightest and give the most rebound i've ever seen out of a knee wrap. Inzer 2.0m knee wraps- i use these to train with and they are great, very user friendly and still provide a lot of support, plus they are fairl inexpensive. Inzer stuff is top notch for sure. There are also many different ways to wrap your knees, but after a bunch of trial and error, and research, here is what I have come up with that is generally accepted. I start right below the knee cap and run around that once, then while pulling the wrap tight i run another band diagonally up to just above the knee cap, then criss cross down to the original band. Then I take the wrap and run 1 band around the top criss cross to hold it in place and then just run every other band around the patella till i run out of wrap and then just tuck the flap into a wrap. They should be so tight u think they are pinching your calves. It's easiest to put them on with ur leg parallel to the floor and quad flexed.

I appreciate the info. I'll pick up a pair of the basic Inzers.
