my first APF meet and results

i love the apf! atmosphere was excellent, meet was run smoothly, rules were more than fair.from now on i will probably only do apf or ipa meets.
i only pressed and deadlifted and i didnt drop weight for the contest. just went into the meet wei***ng 210(normalydrop to 198lbs) and bulked up an extra 6lbs before the contest
    press
    opened with 505, easy
    than 530, easy again
than 575, again smoke show, easy! couldnt believe it

i tried to get a 4th attempt, i knew after 575 i could have hit 600lbs, but the meet was running long and they wouldnt let me ...oh well next time

    deadlift opened 540, easy
next 605, came up to quick and lost my balance and droped the weight. no lift
3rd attempt, repeated 605, easy this time, wish i would have tried more, but after how the 2nd attepmt went i decided to be conservative.

1st place 220lb open iron man, i am going to try to post videos if i can figure out how to do this

thanks. i used a stock titan double ply f6 (i am going to get a custom double katana soon), and for the dead, i used a single ply marathon suit, i have been trying to pull in other suits(boss ,pro squater) but my form gets thrown all over the place. even a pair of single ply briefs underneath the marathon screw me up. i need more practice, i havent been competeing very long with the equipment

raw squat at 181 drug free 540

equiped squat, not drug free ??????

i havent adapted to the equiped squat yet, i am going to start training next wk with some pro guys in another state every other wknd to help me out, the most i have gotten under is 650lb, i had no problem geting it up, i just had a HELL of alot of trouble getting down!i didnt hit parallel, not even close. lifting raw and equiped are 2 different worlds.

for instance ,my last bebch meet i hit 455, this time i hit 575lbs. i dont really think i got that much stronger, i just learned how to use my shirt better to get more weight out of it. i had better training partners( The big guy in the group has presed 875 in a contest) who showed me how to get more out of the equipment and proper equiped form(raw form and equiped are two different worlds) little changes and manipulations in technique, form etc etc all put together can make HUGE difference in how much you lift. i used to believe this wasnt true, but i now have to admit that it is true since i have had frist has experience with it now

i know guys who squat alot less than i do raw, but squat alot more than i do equiped, i hope with some helpful hints from others and practce, i can get to 750 in a few months
