    negatives?? for bench

first off i did search before asking this.. out of 34 hits none answered this question...

is negatives a good form of training for bench. as in a every once in a while method.. i hear alot people say use it on your lite days, then people say that doing to many or negatives at the wrong time might be over training your CNS..

so if negatives are good, what percent of your max? how often? and how should they be used? .... or not at all?

the consensus in my gym is to keep it as infrequent as possible. Once or twice a month is usually advised. i have a buddy who didn't listen and was using negatives every other week (going 30% over his 1RM) and even though he saw some impressive gains, after a month or so, he had some seriously frayed elbows. he had to take time off to rest/recuperate, which is always a shame.
