You don't have to, it just allows you to lift more than if you were raw.

the bench shirt has put people from a 500lb RAW bench to a 625lb benchin the shirt, in lower numbers from a 300 RAW bench to a 450 bench with the shirt. I can't tell you from experience b/c I've never shirted up, YET!!! There are diff types of shirts if you read on here you'll see talk of denim, poly, and whatever the fury etc are made out of. The shirt will help you more of a SPRING off the chest, and start the movement of the bar which if your speed is awesome then it'll help you push more weight.
About the squat/deadlift suits it's different for everyone with some it just helps them go parallel better and with others they can get from 10-60lbs out of a suit. IT all depends on your weakness.

I am in the midwest. If I can get them anyone can! You just have to get online and order one. Then work with it and watch your bench get bigger.
