Me work is done by feel and experience. When I first started WSB training, I would switch ME work after three weeks. Now, a year later, I usually switch up every two weeks, the exception would be Rack Pulls, which we only use for a week at a time. DE %'s are changed based on where you can exhibit speed. I have a hard time working over 45% for DE work, I usually only change the bar weight, but keep the % the same, after setting a PR in a contest. Assistence work is done by feel, you know what muscles you need to work, and how long you have to accomplish that goal, pick what works well for you and use it until it no longer provides the results you want. Then switch to another movement for the same muscle, and use it up too.

Like Erman and PLJ stated it's a personal thing.

I'll change somethings week to week just to add variety. Others I consider staples and change them less frequently.

Go to www.elitefts.com look for the "Ask Dave" section, in the narrow navigation controls in the upper 1/3 of the screen, click on the "Exercise Index" along the upper left of the screen.

    Online WSB articles appear at:

Personally I like to switch up my ME exercise every week. For assistance work, it just depends on what I feel like doing on a particular day. I use to make up training layouts for a whole cycle leading up to a meet. Now I just make it up as I go along
