    Which finger goes in the ring during your max competiton bench?

    i always use my finger next to pinky what should it be?

    the rule is the rings on the bar have to be covered. if you use a thumb-less grip you can put your thumbs over the rings and your grip would be wider, but i dont recommend doing this. i used to do this when i lifted raw but now that i lift equiped and use a lot more weight, i wouldnt do this because if the bar slips out of your hand, you are going to get hurt bad

    Is everyone talking about equipped benching? If so, I agree that index finger on the rings, for the widest grip, is best to shorten the stroke. I don't go that wide raw benching though, for what I gain in distance I lose in leverage. Not sure how everyone else was considering the question.

    my grip raw is the same equiped. i go as wide as possible to cut travel distance
