Best Suit for Pulling
What in your opinion is the best suit to deadlift in?
Do erector shirts help a lot while pulling?
I've done single lift meets before but have never pulled in competition (going to do an ironman in Dec). Thanks for your help! -BB

I am sure you will hear a lot of different opinions. None of them are wrong. A lot of it is preference, and what you feel comfortable with.
I personally like the Crain DL suit. It works great for Sumo. I tried to use it conventional and it didn't work well. I haven't tried any others, so I cannot comment on them.
You find a lot of guys DLing in just the singlet and a belt though.

Opinions will vary like musc2002 said. Most of the time people stick with a certain brand. I have never used anything but inzer gear but thats just because i have only been competing for a year and don't have the $ to try other stuff out.
The Champoin is a basic amature suit and thats about all you get from it.
The Z-suit is a step up from the champion and has pretty good support.
I am pulling in a Hardcore tonight and will let yoiu know what i think of it.

BigBad- are you doing the USAPL push/pull champs? I'm from Long Island and will be competing there as well in the 148's or 165's.
I have only pulled in a Inzer Champion. When doing conventional I don't really notice a difference. Sumo it gives me a little at the bottom.
My problem is that my initial pul is very strong, I jut always get stuck over the knees.
See you at the meet if you are going.

Deadlift Freak, yea, that's the one I'm thinking about doing (NY). I've only done raw meets thus far so, once I put on a shirt and a suit (probably going to get crains deadlift suit...pull sumo), hopefully I'll put up some good numbers. I'll either compete in the 198's or 220's.

I am pretty sure they are legal. You may want to double check though. My buddy might be in the 198's if decided he doesn't want to stay down in the 181's. Goodluck in your training for the next 6 and half weeks or so. It's coming up.
Diesel- the Jersey meet is different. That is a full meet. Deciever is liftng there so you can check him out. He'll be the 15 year old kicking ass!!

Sorry bro i havent found one yet. I pull in briefs in a singlet. I have pulled in a champion but feel awkward in it. Thats cause i dont work in it. I like the champion better then the z suit cause the champion you can get the legs out tof the way so the bar can slidde up smoothly. other then that there about the same.

My old stock DL suit might be a good squat suit now. It would probably take at least 700 just to get me to depth.
