    Powerlifting Meet Results

I had my competition yesterday and thought I would share my results with you. Squat 600, Bench 425, Dead Lift 600. Total 1625 lbs. Good enough for
1st place in the Master's divison, 40-49. I also won 1st place for the individual bench competition Master's class. Not bad for an old man!! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the contest, I'm sore as hell this morning, but I feel good at the same time!! I don't have any illusions of being a top powerlifter, but I sure enjoy the competition! I am going to try it again in the Fall. I need to do better with my equipment, I think I left a few pounds out there. Something to work on for next time!

Great lifting and those numbers are awesome. What was you weight category and what competition did you lift in? I have a push pull comp this Saturday in CA with USPF and I’m entering sub-masters at SHW. I’m looking forward to it. Congrats on your numbers once again.

Thanks guys! I lifted in the 242 lb. class, just a local meet, non-sanctioned. This is the 1st full meet I have ever done, I competed in the master's division 40-49. I know these are small numbers compared to the big guys, but I enjoyed the competition and had a lot of fun! I think I am going to do it again in the Fall, sanctioned meet this time. I think I could have done better had my equipment been right. My bench shirt ripped, my squat suit didn't help much, but I am very green at this equiped lifting. I am going to get Doc. Sust. to really tutor me on equipment before I hit it again!

Madmax, thanks!! LOL I am an old man! My raw numbers are Squat- 550, Bench- 405, Dadlift- 550. These are true raw numbers, I use a belt and knee wraps, not real tight, and nothing on the bench except wrist wraps. I believe that with proper equipment, I could do better. In the meet, I didn't get much out of my squat suit, and my bench shirt didn't seem to help much at all. Nothing felt really good if that makes any sense. I don't mean it to sound like I expected it to feel like a pair of lounge pants, or a sweatshirt, but it just didn't seem to fit right. I'll get better with this equiped lifting stuff!! LOL

You got 20lbs out of your bench shirt, basicly nothing. My raw bench was 425lbs and I benched 562lbs in my last meet. And I'm a rookie. Congrats regardless, still managed impressive numbers.

Sounds like you got the right kind of equipment Bro. What do you use? Anyone that benches 562 lbs. is no rookie! LOL Sounds like you are an excellent lifter. What weight class do you compete in?
