    Injury question for Doc...

    Hey Doc,

As you already know, I'm kinda the resident strongman around here and I use your advice a lot to incorporate into my strongman training (I do a lot of the powerlift training during the off season and only really train strongman equipment 6-8wks out from a competition). The problem I'm having is shoulder and elbow injuries. Again, as you know, I'm a former pro football player, but doing my career, I never really had shoulder or elbow injuries, just knee injuries. Now, after every press session, my shoulders are wrecked. I've been to the doc and he says it's arthritis and I may need a simple scope to clean up some 'floaters'. But DAMN, they hurt like crazy and it's starting to seriously effect my training. What do you suggest. I use ice and nsaids. I also use DMSO before workouts.

I haven't cycled in years (I am on TRT, though). I'm definitely going to get back on. Do you recommend using higher doses of Deca ? Help a brotha out... please!!!!!

the deca will help a lot, u dont have to go nuts, a dose of 400mg to 600mg a wk will work fine, make sure to a tleast take and equal dose of test with the deca, i myself would use more then an equal dose.

keep up with the ice. ice works wonders, even if you think it isnt helping it is so keep doing it!!!! motrin ,800 mg's 3 times a day.

as for the elbows, get a a solid pair of elbow sleeves, wear them for a few wks, the pain should stop. dont do any type skull crusher movements for tri's. it will just aggravate them!! light push downs or no pushdown movements at all if it bothers the elbow

the best thing that helped me with shoulder was to start doing light rotator cuff rehab. 3 times a wk using bands and cables machines. internal and external rotation as well as the in between motion for the suprapinatus muscles(the half way between front raises and lateral raises) are you familiar with the rot. cuff rehab movements???

Thanks Doc! Yeah, I know a lot or rotator cuff prehab exercises. I'll incorporate those starting this week. Thanks again for the advice.
