Time to test my maxes! Advice

Ok..so next week (Sunday) is week 12 of my Elite FTS Beginner Program. It's the week where I test my maxes. I take off Sunday, Monday...Wednesday and Friday I test my 1RMs.

Should I go raw or equpped for my squat/deadlift? I've been been using squat briefs and a belt on days where I felt tired or needed a little help finishing, but haven't trained with them consistently.

Any advice you guys have is great. This is my first attempt at a real powerlifting program.

I'd go raw, too many variables with gear especially if it's your first time. Plus how are you gonna know what your real strength is as opposed to how much you're getting out of your gear.
2nd you need to learn your gear trust me it takes getting use to. We all wish it was as easy as throw on some gangsta gear and hit huge numbers. lol

Will do! My goal was to deadlift 500 lbs, which I think I will exceed by quite a bit judging by my numbers through the program. The only thing I'm worried about is my bench as I've got some tendinitis and bursitis in my left shoulder. But hell, it's only for 1 rep...**** it!

For sum reason I never max out any more. I'll go heavy on my last sets past failure and a negg. I tore my rotar along time ago and just scared now I guess. Is your program a sticky or ware could I find it. And how are you figuring you max weight? I know its by numbers and percent, but could you use a real life example maybe?? Cuz I also know sum days ate good and sum arnt wondering how that fits in? I was thinkn of haveing a power lifting only for 3 months, the a body sculpting for 3mo or so. And sugestions on how to do sunthin like that?

Raw is definitely best. No need to incorporate gear unless you testing your openers for a meet. Going raw gives you a baseline level you can expound further training on. Good luck, and keep us posted.

My max weight are maxes set before I started the 12 week program. I'm doing the Elite FTS Beginner Program. I'll be more than happy to email it to you, if you want. It's in PDF format.

The program explains everything in a very easy to understand format and lists your workouts day by day. It's foolproof.

I don't know much about body sculpting, never been into that, so I can't help there. Sorry.

So I tested my bench 1RM today. I was pretty disappointed with 405. I know I shouldn't, but I'm going to go back and try again tomorrow. I need at least 415 to be satisfied.
