    1000 and 500 in cash wouldn't even touch the investment these guys have wish they would give away more cash but hey win it all get a pretty penny

    $9,500 in cash beats the heck out of the $35 trophies 99% of the powerlifting events give out to their winners.

    didn't mean to offend anyone just didn't seem like a lot to me(when compared to all the work it takes) $35 dollar trophies had no idea thats why i guess powerlifting doesn't differ from other sports (love of the game) anyway i apologize.

    No big deal. You're right. Powerlifting doesn't have a lot of $$$ but it should and I'm working to shovel more cash in the sport's direction. At $9,500 we're one of the highest paying contests in the world though, so I'm not bummed out on the limited progress I've made over the last ten years (going from $0.00 to $9,500 per promotion.) But I've got bigger goals and we plan to continue moving onwards and upwards.
