    mouth guard

    anyone use mouth or teeth guard when lifting? i seem to clench teeth

    I do. Any sports mouthguard works well.

    I wondered about the breath rite nasal strips myself .

    Breath rites are good in strongman contest. Many athletes use them all the time. But most big contests have oxygen on the sidelines so its indivdual preference.

    As for grinding teeth, a mouthguard will prevent that. Also studies have found that adding a mouth guard will allow you to produce more power because the harder you bite down the more power you can generate. But if you bite down too hard without a mouth piece you can crack teeth. I've done it before on the squat, that is why I wear one now.
