pulled 700 today
Felt good bros, hand tore to shit but I got it. I did speed pulls with 135x10, 225x10, 315x10. Then did singles from 405 all the way up. Saw stars pretty bad, even with my smelling salts. But in the 700 club none the less.

Hey bro just curious, but what did you do to your shoulder? I separated mine a few times but have never done any rehab or anything, just let it heal on its own and I really hurt it a few weeks ago and it's kept me out of the gym. Not a big fan of doctors. Just wondering what your injury was and how you rehabbed it.

Thats awesome on the 700 congratulations. I have a pretty bad shoulder and right now my chest day is hammerstrength machines, pec deck, cable flys.

in high school tore my rotator cuff, but it doesnt really bother me anymore. Then did something to my AC joint, it hurt for months. Then tore something in the socket, i couldnt even reach my right arm to my left pec without pain. Pretty good now, my AC joint slightly hurts sometimes on barbell bench. Ive never had surgery for any injury. Always just used bands and crap to try and heal it up. Quit direct shoulder work and movements that tweaked it. The shoulder socket injury kept me from working shoulders for a month.

Sounds very similar to my injuries. I think I'm just gonna suck it up and see a specialist about it. It's a reoccurring injury that just won't go away. It would be nice to never have to worry about it again. But good job on your lifts bro. I've been following your progress and I'm totally jealous. No homo

Dont forget to strip the weight lol.... they need to have automatic machines for that... lifting that heavy has to be taxing on the body! Awesome dude! Go get it

Patrick,
When you do rack pulls, where would you say the bar starts in relation to your knees? Just below your knees, just above, mid shin?
Just curious.
I've been trying to figure out what level to pull from.
Also, from what height do you your deficit deadlifts?Last edited by The Deadlifting Dog; 11-16-2012 at 09:09 PM.

i do rack pulls just below my knee. right where your patellar tendon connects to your shin, thats where the bar is. here is from the 770 i did. you can see where the bars are. when i do deficits, i stand on a 3" platform.

Thanks for the quick reply.
(The guys I watch on YouTube don't seem to do rack pulls or deficit deadlifts.)
Let me know if you ever decide to post on YouTube.

Tried 800 today, failed. Just got over the flu though, so its all good. I was shaking, bad. Which I never do. So that tells me im still worn down... deficit deads start next week.
