    How routine changes on cycle?

I saw a thread about this farther down, but it was over 6 months old, so here goes.

I am currently using Texas Method with good results. My goal is strength without super high bf. Not concerned with a beach body. Is there a concensus on how to change a routine when on cycle? Just add weight faster? More sets or reps? More assistence exercises? Or maybe time to change strategy entirely?

I see a lot of info in other sub forums, but it seems like most of it is aimed at body building.

    Thanks!

Honestly I would make sure you are good and ready, guessing you are still beginner intermediate, and you might want to give your natural self a lot more time. For me it comes down to food. If I am eating a ton I can progress and add weight quickly. If I am dieting it's a battle to maintain weight. Maintenance calories slow progress. Juice doesn't seem to change this. I don't really increase volume but I try to keep a lot of frequency. But because I am constantly recovering and never fully recovering if I overdo a session or don't eat enough it stalls my progress for the next few training sessions, so I have to be careful to not over do it but keep things moving up.

I don't think you really need to change your routine, but I think you should get to a point you have been through some advanced level programs, and see what things work for you the most effectively. And then stick with them while on cycle and it will allow you to bump up the calories and make a bit more progress.

Not sure if any of this is clear, but short answer don't really change much but listen to your body and adjust accordingly.
