I’ve come to a conclusion. Arnold has never done a rear lat spread! Got lots of chest and biceps though.

I can't find one any where. I have a copy of Arnolds Encyclopedia and there is one relaxed back shot in there with a little back spread but nothing major. Most of the shots that he did from the rear where rear double bicepts.

In Pumping Iron, Franco was asked to do a Lat Spread. That's what brought on the "Franco The Bat..." comments.

Since he was asked to do it, that leads me to believe that it was a compulsory pose, even back then.

Louie also did one. I think Pumping Iron simply missed it. Perhaps we will see it when it comes out on DVD (whenever that will be. They keep pushing the release date back). There's suppose to be a lost more footage.

I've seen MANY people look for a rear-lat spread from Arnold and that's the FIRST one I've seen! I'm gonna save that to my hard-drive and burn it on CD, then put the CD in my bank safety deposit box just so I have it to show someone one day....
