How much did he wiegh for that sopt LI A? Even though he was offseason he still looks pretty damn good. I'm not sure he could beat Ronnie now, but I still think he would be top 3 today.

I think Dorian looks a little hefty in some of those pics. He's too thick in the waste and he's not that defined in the pic.

His wide waist and his injuries were the things that stopped him from winning another Mr O, and therefore had to retire...that´s my opinion anyway.
It´s hard to be a pro BB.

He "was" the man, Can't argue that!!!!
You could tell he was ahead of his time just by the distended Gut, took the other pros almost a decade to aquire it!!!! LMAO
The fact remains,.........he's a soft 200 pounder right now, and Zane is still lean and Mean !!!!!

I saw a photo of Dorian from november last year or if it was the year before, how thin he was!
Was it the coming off the drugs that made him look so d**n thin?

i have to agree with u kid shred zane still looks good so does lary scot who i really admire the man still looks good…. Sometimes i think u just have to draw a line!!! on juice yh its mad being a mass freak but at what cost...
As for Dorian being as thin as he is i just think its lack of training or the injury... he has had to go thorough

Holy crap! All I can say after seeing those pics of an offseason Yates is, "Ronnie who?"
Those were obviously taken before he tore his tricep, which totally screwed up his prep for the 97 Olympia. Imagine what Dorian would have looked like if he had not injured himself... Nobody would entertain fantasies about Ronnie Coleman being a threat to his title, that's for sure.
If anybody else has offseason pics of Dorian from '97, I would love to see them.

Those pics were taken on July 5th, 1997 at the Atlantic States in NY, my dad took them, I did that show. I do believe it was before the tricep tear.
I also saw Ronnie guest pose last year at the Metropolitain here in NY. Ronnie was about 10lbs heavier than Yates in those pics and harder so your statement isnt exactly true. i will see if i can get pics from that show too.

You are saying that you saw Coleman guestpose in 1997 weighing 322lbs and he was harder at that weight than Dorian is in these pics? I find that very difficult to believe, since Flex magazine recently published pics of Ronnie at 318lbs (where he is training with Cormier). He is nowhere near as hard as Dorian is in those pics.
Besides, I saw Coleman guestpose in Canada before the 2000 Olympia, and he was 290lbs. Very impressive, but not as hard as Dorian.
I would like to see the pics that you are talking about.

It wasnt 97, it was 2001 at the Met in March of last year and he told us he was 317lbs. Those are his words. I am trying to get one of the pics from my gym to scan it.

Big Kev posted this pic of a 315lb Ronnie Coleman in another thread on this site. Very impressive, but it's obvious to me that he is not even close to being as hard as Dorian is at that weight. He is also nowhere near as wide, although his waist looks smaller.
