i believe he did win the olympia at some stage
Serge Nubret never won the Olympia, he was French and not in good favor with the IFBB or the Weiders, it was all rumored that he had made a porno movie, giving them more ammo as to keep him from winning the big show. As you mentioned he looked incredible even by todays standards!
wikipedia says he won the 1977 mr olympia title
Frank Zane won the Mr. Olympia in 1977-78-79 Arnold came back and won in 1980 and Franco Columbo came back and won in 81....wikepedia needs to check their facts....
Serge Nubret never won.............
Yeah Serge never won the IFBB Mr. Olympia. I know he competed in Europe, I think in the NABBA. He's like a television star in France. I personally like his physique, but I think he needed more size to beat guys like Arnold and Lou.Originally Posted by jbarkley

He had less than 17 cm. diam. wrists and yet was able to build amazing mass in his arms. Why he did not win the Olympia? Well, as D-Money pointed out, he lacked the mass of Arnold or Ferrigno. I would add that his calves were lagging behind which was a common issue with other competitors with great upper bodies like Ferrigno, Tinerino, Coe, etc.
The judges were racist.
Could be rather..
