my bro just started his cycle and were running 1 1/2 23 ga needles and both shots so far have givin him really bad muscle pains likek a charlie horse, is this normal for someone who has never done aas??

No it is not. He needs to relax and not flinch when the needle in in the muscle. Using a heat pad and message after helps.
